  1. I started my journey at 350!! I was 18 years old & I felt my life was worthless. I hates waking up in the morning & I avoided leaving my house at all costs (I didn't even realize this at the time)! I'm now 6 months out as of today!! My life as completely changed, I have this long called confidence, I want to wake up & start my day & best of all I hate being stuck in the house! Well here's my six month progress pics! The one that's a picture of a picture is the one my nut took a day before my surgery!

  2. Okay guys I just started getting a appetite back & it's really scaring me!! Plus I started going back to school from 8-3pm I give in & get a caramel iced coffee every morning with skim milk & Splenda about 230 cals. But I need some food I can eat at school where I won't feel guilty about it ( for the past week I've been buying cafe food, which in sure is horrible for me) any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!!

  3. In my honest totally non professional opinion you are not getting enough Protein. You have to try to get 60 to 80g a day. Try adding the non flavoured stuff to everything you eat and even try the small bottles of "protein to go". I got some at Walmart haven't tried them yet and have read that they taste awful :-( but it is so important I will drink them anyway if needed.

Of course you should also get checked for a stricture in case that is the problem.

Well no structure! & I can do the Protein drinks my stomach is too sensitive & that smell instantly gets me.. It's horrible!!

  4. How differently did it make you? Im 4 weeks out now' date=' I have a doc appointment this week, I'm just going to ask the doctor, I tried Googling the effects of weed after WLS, LOL

OH and I never got the munchies in the past after smoking, I learned how to not eat afterwards,[/quote']

Like I get high off of half of what I used to smoke to get high.. Just more potent I guess. Same with alcohol!

  5. Ok' date=' I've got to be honest here, I won't know if I don't ask. I use to smoke marajuana before surgery, I quit weeks before surgery and have not had it ever since. I just started smoking it about two years ago because of my gout and it gave me great relief, more than my meds. My question is, I will be 4 weeks out comes this Monday and I want to inhale so bad, but I'm scared it may do something to my recovery, but on the other hand because I've used it for healing in the past I want it. What are your honest opinion? If you are a smoker have you started back smoking again?[/quote']

I started smoking about two weeks after my surgery, I was nauseous ALL the time and I couldn't take it. It's really important to make sure not to eat tho cause of the munchies, I allow my self a bottle of Water lol. I had no negative problems. It effects me a lil more then it did before but that's bout it.

  6. Had surgery almost 10 weeks ago and I am half way to my 'goal' weight of 165!!!

Im not that particular at what my goal weight was' date=' I just chose half of what I started at.

Started at 331, at 248 right now!

    Lost 83, 83 to go! Woohoo! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />[/quote']

Hey I started around the same as you & I'm about at the same spot as you!! How's your skin, that's my biggest worry!

  7. I had my surgery on April 17th so just over a month & I've lost 30lbs and 70 in total. I haven't done much exercise due to the fact I have had no energy at all since the surgery. I average about 300 cals a day and 30g of protein! I can't do the shakes but I hope I keep loosing the way I am but who knows I'm kinda taking this whole journey one day at a time.
