  1. I finally came off my 4 day stall. I think it was my mo. Friend! Lol TMI' date=' I know. Finally down 2 more pounds. Now 28 lbs down since pre op, which 13 lbs is since surgery!! :)

Me to. I lost 2 1/2 lbs so I was excited to see that. I was suppose to start puree foods today but I find it hard not to drink 30 min before and during so I chose to drink instead of eat. I'm always thirsty. I met with my nut next week so I guess I will see what she says. I'm glad your scale moved as well. We had similar staying waits and surgery same day so I am keeping up with your success as well.

  2. I had my surgery may 14 and I lost about 10 lbs the first week but the last couple of days I haven't lost anything so maybe I'm at a stall as well. I am keeping the big picture in mind and all the weight I'm going to lose. Everyone will more than likely experience a stall so don't let it keep you down:)

  3. You know what's gonna be yummy. I made last night for todays dinner. Take a can of cream of broccoli and you puree with chicken broth until you get a thin consistency. It makes a yummy thin puree Soup. Also I pureed a low sodium bean soup. Beans are a great source of Protein. I made a lot in my Magic Bullet and stored in the fridge. I can have 1/2 cup. sugar free pudding is also good. And believe it or not scrambled eggs ( very soft) runny scrambled eggs. I added a little packet of sweet & low to the egg mixture before cooking. Yummy. Hope this helps.

Thank you it does help. For some reason when I think of pureeing food it just grossed me out but I better get used to it. I will be in that phase for 3 weeks.

  4. Yaaay for you!!' date='I'm glad your seeing the lbs coming off!! Success my friend. I am so excited as well to eat cottage cheese! Yummy! My yogart was good this morning. No complaints with the pouch so far, but crossing my fingers. I'm so glad we are both doing well! :-) keep me posted on our purree stage. Are you going to follow exactly the same schedule as the list for Mond thru Friday?

  5. Yeah it's really stuff some times I tell my husband I think we are having a new baby because its feels like I am having contraction lol

Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

I fell like that also. What is it that causes that contraction feeling?

  6. Anyone feeling weak? I have to stop to take breaks while getting ready cause i feel weak. Reading everyone's experiences have helped a lot. I'm still having cravings but its just when I see food commercials and having my mom here is no help because she's either cooking or bringing something back from some food place (so insensitive). I love her but I'm glad she's leaving tomorrow. Anyway' date=' I'm doing better with the fluids but I can only take 2 oz of Protein shakes right now. So I guess I'll just concentrate on fluids.

I was so weak today I almost passed out. Taking a shower exhausts me.

  7. Today is the first day I have actually had an appetite. The last 5 days I have been doing my best to get fluids in and not really caring but today is different. I feel the need for something other than liquids. Im not sure if I bored or truly hungry. Anyone else experiencing this. I typically am not one to have head hunger. Also how is everyone else doing with pain? I only have pain at night when trying to get settled to go to sleep.

  8. You really should get 64 oz in. . Its too keep you hydrated. If you can't get all your Protein in that's understandable but you should really try to get your other fluids. My doc told me once I start paying has I can increase to 2oz every 15 min which had really helped with getting it all in.

I totally screwed that last one up. .correcetion... When I start passing gas I can increase to 2 oz..lol

  9. It's really hard to get your liquids in when you are only taking 1 ounce every 15 minutes the most I get is 45 to 48 I hope that's good

  10. I get to go home this morning. I will be able to rest a lot better. My surgeon says I will have to be sipping all day to get the adequate hydration in order to not dehydrated. It's tough for me to get the liquids down. Which is why I was here 3 night's. I guess my best friend will be my cup for a while. He says it will get easier. Is it tough for everyone else to get liquids in?

I'm having a really hard time getting anything but gatorade and Water down. Protein is not going good at all. I'm kinda stressing myself out about it.

  11. I'm finally home from the hospital. My doc sent me home with pain med and nausea meds. Im actually feeling really good. I am getting 64 oz in but not 60g of Protein yet. My doc made it a point not to chew gum just in case you accidentally swallow it. He recommended listerine strips. Everyone seems to be doing really good.

  12. Oh' date=' that stuff was awful! They were giving that to me after they took the morphine pump away. What are they telling you when you tell them you are hurting? They started giving me Toradol with my pain meds because my back hurt so bad after surgery.

    Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 26lbs[/quote']

They just tell me to wait 4 hours. It's making it nearly impossible to get up and move around. Im just not being demanding enough

  13. It had been fairly easy to get my fluids in but I could not imagine doing that and Protein. I have been in quite a bit of pain. They say walking helps but it makes it worse for me. They are only allowing me pain meds every 4 hours I need it sooner most of the time. Good luck to everyone and you all are in my prayers. PS the spirometer makes me couch up stuff and brings on a lot of pain so beware

  14. I had surgery this morning. I'm doing well. Sipping a lot and walking every couple of hours. Definitely have pain but laying on the heading pad helps. They don't want me to drink anything besides g2 gatorade and Water. I'm not hungry at all. I have to pee every few minutes it seems. Good luck to all!

  15. Good luck my surgery buddies!!! We are gonna do great! Let's do this.

    Your all in my prayers.
