  1. My husband is a thin man but very well endowed (if you know what I mean) well 78lb loss for me and sex is so amazing now!!! Sometimes though it hurts up in my belly area now I think cause he goes so much further in than before. But hey still going full throttle and loving it!

  2. Im 4trs post op doing great now the early days were pretty tuff unable to drink or eat much they stretched the opening to the stomach three times in 3 month looking back if i had more info i dont think it would have been necessary getting info from the dr was like pulling teeth most of what i learned was thru trial and err remember drink as much eater ss you can

SHARE info please! I haven't kept anything down in 2 days and I don't want to have the stricture procedure again! I'm just getting tired of spending money on it instead of other things! Lol

  3. Is it rough getting the stricture taken care of? Is it painful?

Its not painful at all compared to what you went through with the Wls. You have a little gas in you stomach and it makes for just a little discomfort! You are asleep when they do it, but I felt 100% better by the next day! Its more frustrating than anything!

  4. I don't like the pictures taken. Only way I can see difference is a side by side comparison. I use intsta collage app on my cell to do that.

I couldn't tell a difference either! When someone would tell me how good I looked I would say I don't see it till the other day when I did a side by side and seen this!!!

  5. Thanks jp23p and one day at a time.

Drinking pre-operation time never filled me up and I would have to eat solids to the point of being full up to feel satisfied and not graze further. Does this change after roux en y gastric bypass.... does everyone else feel full after drinking fluids? Am I the only one??

I am 4 months out! You get hungry cause the fluids jusy go straight through and dont just set in your stomach! When you go to solids it will set in ur stomach and make u fill full. You will do great!

  6. I have had the stricture procedure dont twice already and fixing to have my 3rd one. I have asked if there is anytjing I can do to help it not happen and my dr said no some people just have it more than others! I hate having them but the procedure isnt painful just a little gasy after it! Good luck with getting it fixed

  7. That's pretty scary! every time my throat gets sore' date=' I worry about that. Sounds a little paraniod I know-especially since it's more than just swallowing. Hope all is ok.[/quote']

Oh you will know if it happens! When you swallow the food it will go down but then you get this pain in you stomach and it feels like things are swimming around in your stomach till you throw up! The first time it got to where I couldnt even hold down liquids. 2nd time just couldnt hold down food. 15 days after the 2nd one I already needed it again but I told the dr No not right now I wont do the procedure again till I cant hold anything down. So for now I have to make everything a soupy mixture to eat it! Not fun but Im just frustrated!

  8. you must not have been privy to the what are you eating tonight thread where the brilliant ideas of whoppers and fries and pizza and wings are there for the non-judging.

check it out - it’s brilliant.

Wow is all I can say! I just found this site yesterday and im so happy I did! I have been struggling since a month post op and had no one to relate to now I have found a lot of helpful advice on here and putting it to good use!

  9. I’m pre-op and I can tell you the most successful people are the ones that log - it’s not about obsessing - it’s about being accountable -- years ago we didn’t have so many options for keeping us accountable - think of it this way - if or when your a few months out - you can say look at how successful I was when i did this or that verses saying i have no idea what i’m doing wrong - someone help me...

by the way of a confession - i had a six month pre-op diet and I did better and was more disciplined when my dietician read my food journals.

now if i want to get ideas on how to eat like total crap - there’s a few people on here post op - i just have what their having and voila - burgers and fries and wings and pizza - that’s how I get and maintain a 350lb body for sure.

Really people are eating that? Wow! I know of a friend of mine that eats like that and it makes me so mad cause I have followed the plan and keep having strictures! I am awaiting my 3rd procedure now and it makes me mad cause she goes out drinking and eating out almost everyday! I didnt go through all this process just to fail in the end.... I work hard everyday to stick to my plan of attack to be healthy!

  10. Everyone seems to be using MFP' date=' so I'm feeling like maybe I should jump on the bandwagon. I can totally see the benefit of being able to track Protein and calories and micronutrients.

However, I do not want to obsess about food anymore. I've spent 25 years in an unhealthy relationship with food, obsessing over what I can eat, want to eat, should eat, or won't eat. I'm afraid to open that door again.

I'm 4 weeks out, and still having a love/hate relationship with food because of the anatomical changes and some things hurt going down, but I'm not obsessed anymore. It's awesome! I was hungry; I scrambled an egg, ate half, and now I'm done.

So I'm torn. Can people be successful and not log?

Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk[/quote']

I am 4 months out and I do not log! I keep track of protien and carb intake just mentally but I am also like you and I dont want to obsess about food ever again!

  11. This week I've been suffering from an abcess on my gums that seems to have spread to my jaw. I went 2 days of having nothing but life Water because that's the only thing I could tolerate warm' date=' and then today I've had some applesauce. As a result I've lost 7lbs in 3 days. While I absolutely love the loss, something tells me that I should expect to see them back when this is all said and done. Your thoughts?

I am on pain meds and antibiotics but for now no one will see me until all the swelling has gone down. :([/quote']

Im sorry for the infection. I hope all goes well for you and I dont think you will see those 7lbs again! When I had my 1st stricture I lost 10lbs in 5 days and never saw it again after I had the procedure!
