To be honest I'm five yrs out and I have yet to finish a childs portion. I've also not felt physical hunger since surgery. Do this. Eat your small portion and walk away and drink water. If you don't your liable to stretch ur pouch and defeat your purpose. Do you think maybe mentally your thinking ur hungry or is it a actual physical hunger?? If its hard u can even resort to child size Utensils. Your eating right starting with protein and ending with the carb/starch. You may want to do the cottage cheese test write it down and speak to your surgeon. I'm kinda perplexed at ur situation to be honest. Hmm.

To add to this this is how bad Dr's are. Ok end of Oct 2012 I started having bad right lower belly cramping. Kept getting worse finally took myself to the ER after seeing urgent care 3 times. Told the ER doc I had been to urgent care was treated for gastrointeritis sent home. I said then i came to the ER bc you all can do u/sound etc. Well he does a pelvic us comes in says he seen fluid and I had ruptured a ovarian cyst its now Nov 25. Then proceeds to lecture me for 30 minutes about narcotic pain medication and how they don't like treating "unknown" belly pain and giving out narcotic scripts. I went another week. It was going on 3 weeks I went back to my primary he had to FORCE the insurance to do a MRI they did it and found out my appendix had ruptured 3 weeks prior and the fluid the dr saw was actually my appendix. I spent 2 weeks in SICU and instead of lap surgery I had to be fully opened and had to wear a drain for a week. I had to have a private person pay for my antibiotics because they were so expensive. This is the shit I run into. I go in there in pain and get treated like I'm narcotic seeking. So, precisely why I don't even go to the ER.

Thanks I know the complications vary its like I drew the really really well non existant small straw. A lot of people don't understand the severity of this pain. I honestly think if just one day I broke down screaming to the top of my lungs and verbally showing ppl how extreme this is they may understand. I doubt it they'd all think I was being melodramatic and a drama queen. ugh. I've all but gave up on Dr's to be honest.

i lost friends because of weightloss. A lot were against it said I was stupid etc. others who see me now assume I'm a drug addict or I figured out bulemia (i laugh hysterically at the assumptions) I had a good friend who was my surgery buddy and she just couldn't quiet get the diet down and never lost as much as me and got hateful and nasty towards me. It's so funny you spend ur life being judged for being fat and suddenly when ur thin your also judged. I realized a few years ago ppl are gonna hate on me til I die and its nothing I can change so why should I care. hold ur head up and just nod and grin and laugh on the inside...ur driving the karma bus now babe enjoy it. lol .

broth decaf unsweet tea italian ice I strained a lot of soups and still got the flavor. not sure if u can have yogurt but smoothies are good just watch ur sugars carbs etc. . . and if u haven't tried milk go slow bc I instantly developed a lactose intolerance to it and sat on the toilet for nearly 8 hours.. i so wish I were joking. Also, watch movies from dvd and not tv.. food porn can kill u..

I'm a little further out than y'all, but one thing I've used as a big tool with me is music. I've got into music I never in my wildest dreams thought I would. Since my mother passed I do a lot of speaking about organ donation and I've become involved in that. I also enjoy cooking a lot more than I use too because it doesn't hurt my feet to stand like it use too so I really go crazy in there.

I developed staph pneumonia. The one of my leg was severe phlebitis caused from a failed IV inserted in my foot. The one with my son is when I was first hospitalized and developed epilepsy. The one of me smiling was when I woke up after two weeks of be unconscious from seizures and malnutrition. . The one of the blood in the iv my first blood transfusion. The bruises on my arms was my 24th IV blown. These started in 2012 and good LORD do they hurt. They come out of no where nearly knock me to the ground. I've had several EGD's and meeting with a new GB next week. I've did the hyoscamine and even valium nothings works. If any of y'all have had this suggest to me what to do at the dr. I've researched a lot on the Mayo Clinic and know there's two types and its associated with GERD. I fear I will have to undergo yet ANOTHER surgery. I hope one of all can help.

I'm terrified of another hospitlization. I've been drinking yogurt smoothies with 10g p per bottle to keep me going but really it hurts like hell. I never thought I'd dread setting down to eat. I've been awake two hours and the pain is creeping in. This is starting to become unbearable. Daily agonizing pain like this is horrible seriously like I've said before I understand why suicide is so high with post op gb patients. I hope we all can get rid of this and move on with the life we dreamed of having. Lots of love to yall.
