Yes joy, I did...it just felt sooo heavy...almost painfully heavy...that has finally subsided...I think its due to swelling...

Actually I'm feeling really good today...I tire kind of easily and have been taking pain meds just at nite to help me sleep...I was having alot of pain in my back and shoulders but had my hubby put ben-gay on me last nite and it helped soooo much!! I also feel so much better now that my staples are out as I'm a stomach sleeper and it was killing me to sleep on my back and sides!!

Misswifey our surgery was the same day...that day I was 303 and today am 285.6...Lol...sounds like we are pretty much on track with each other...I do feel like my belly is getting smaller...can't wait till some boobs come off!!

From my experience the protein shakes I liked pre op now taste overly sweet and just yucky post op...

I have always despised yogurt and cottage cheese and not so big on refried beans either...but let me tell ya, Tuesday can't get here fast enough as that's when I can add that stuff in...I need more protein options as these nasty shakes aren't cuttin it!!

I thought day three and day ten were the worst. The rest was pretty easy!! You got this!!

I recommend getting it knocked out...take nyquil and lots of rest...that's what I did...they will probably ask if you have been on antibiotics or anything. Luckily I was able to say no as I don't think they would operate...

None of the protein shakes I liked before surgery taste good anymore....they almost make me gag...they all taste soooo sweet!!! Thought I would try the isopure pre made drinks...I got alpine punch, icy orange and blue raspberry...they are hidious!!! I think they taste like they have soap in them...my taste buds are crazy!!!

Me either girl...but I'm not complaining...lol...hope you are at least somewhat comfortable...

Doin ok...surgery was last Tuesday...starting to feel human....it's odd tho because nothing tastes the same and I have no desire to eat...

My surgery was Tuesday too. I'm on liquids till next week...fortunately I have no desire to really even put much in my mouth. Not getting much protein in either tho...going to try the isopure pre made drinks as any shakes I liked pre surgery taste so sweet and nasty...yuck!! I do like the broth from chicken noodle soup but it took me two days to eat it...lol

Thanks lori...I'm not glad you feel horrible but I am glad I'm not alone...I do feel like there is alot of gas pressure still...I'm thinking damn...how much could there possibly be...

My surgery was Tuesday August 6th...I really hope I shouldn't be feeling great right now because I most certainly an not!! I am still sore...my back, neck, shoulders and arms hurt I assume due to the gas...I am tired because the pain meds they precribed to me allow me to sleep for about two hours at a time so I feel exhausted...my stomach feels sooo bloated...I feel like I'm whining but some ppl on here seem like all is great already...I'm not sure when exactly they expect me to be getting all my protein in...I can barely get half a shake down right now...ugh...opinions please???

The left side is where it feels the heaviest...I've been taking the pain meds and all that makes me so is sleep...I'm ready to be back to normal already!!

Not sure if what I am feeling is gas pain or not. That's what I think it is...my stomach has a very heavy feeling and the pain also goes in my shoulders, arms and back but I don't feel the need to pass gas...wish this would go away!!

I feel ya kloveburd...in lots of pain myself...can't wait to feel better!!
