  6. My doc wants to have someone drive me to the one week appointment but also says it is OK to drive once off the pain meds. I have not heard about how long I will have to wait to exercise yet.
  7. Little known fact.... they chose to use water boarding at Guantanamo because catheters was deemed too cruel... I will continue to hold out hope that the doc can be talked into taking it out before I wake.. my pitch is going to be it will be good motivation to get up and walking around. We will see how that goes.
  8. Cleaned the fridge magnets, that is great. Keep up the good work man.
  9. I was reading my pre surgery packet and it says till wake up with a catheter in. So I make a not so brilliant move and YouTube catheter ..... HUGE MISTAKE!!!!! I thought I was going to pass out and I still feel sick. I have cleaned many deer, ducks, and other critters without getting squiemish, but this about did me in. When I go into my pre-op appointment I am going to beg my surgeon to have it put in after I am out and removed right before I wake up. I have watched the RNY surgery multiple times on youtube but I may never be able to go back to that site again.
  10. We are getting a good growing number of July losers! We are almost there.
  11. I am getting sliced and diced on July 30th. Last week of July seems like an eternity away but I bet it will fly by.
  12. I am glad it is going well Warrior. Keep up the great work man!
  13. I am not sure if my doc will set a goal weight. Is it best to shoot for the 80% that is expected to be lost or to shoot for the healthy BMI weight
  14. Mcdoja, I received my presurgery packet and it looks like my lquid diet will be two weeks. I saw their paperwork had two options i am guessing the need my liver to shrink a good amount. How was your hospital stay? St Margaret sent out a packet with pre surgery info but nothing about the actual stay. I hope all is going well.
  15. 9 month wait for my doc.
  16. Punkin I will definitely talk to my NUT on that. This would be very helpful. Thanks for the advice.
  17. I just found out I will have two weeks of protein shakes that can't go over a total of 800 calories a day and water
  18. Congrats all!
  19. I found out my pre-op liquid diet will be two weeks of protien shakes and water. I have pre-surgery meeting with my NUT, one with my PCP, and one with my surgeon. July 30th I will be on the losers bench.
