Water, Water, Water
crazedteacher replied to coolnessa22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know dehydration is not fun. I am glad you got the IV and I know I felt much better after having a bag of fluid. I try so hard but can't get in more than 50 oz. That is including my protein shake for breakfast. Frustrating but I will continue pushing on and I know it will get better and time is my friend It is so nice to be able to talk to others that are going through what you are going through. -

Happiness post-op
crazedteacher replied to Texasmike's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am struggling with this myself. I too amd 3 weeks out and find myself often thinking about how I used to eat and how food controlled my life. I still love to cook, but I find myself craving healthier things. I am also a happy person and am just starting to get the old me back. Food doesn't define who you are, and for the first times in our lives, we are going to be able to live a life free of cravings and being overweight. -
Thanks everyone. I got some immodium to help with the diarrhea and I am going to start intaking a fiber supplement. I am hoping that time is my friend. I guess I just need to give everything time to adjust to the changes in my body.

I am 3 weeks out today and down 23 lbs. But not only am I dealing with daily diarrhea but intense left side pain. I am starting to question if I didn't do enough research or didn't ask enough questions. I have gone back to work full time and I am a teacher and by the end of the day I am hurting and miserable. Has anyone else been slow to heal? I am just really feeling down and want my old happy self to come back.

That is quite an accomplishment and you have worked hard and struggled to get to that glorious 18. Put them on and work it girl! -
I will be 3 weeks out tomorrow and every time I eat or drink anything it runs right through me. It has gotten to the point where it burns so bad I don't want to eat or drink anything because I don't want to have to go to the bathroom. Any advice?
-
my doc said to try immodium and go back to liquids. I will do immodium but emotionally I cannot go back to liquids. I just can't stomach anymore of that. I am beyond frustrated. I am 3 weeks out today and have just had a rough time of it. I am questioning if I did the right thing.
