    tattoos?

I always know of a lot of tattoos I want and it is difficult to decide what I want next. I am still on the fence as to when in my journey would I feel I need the one that represents my surgery. Do I get it right away or wait till my goal weight. I am kind of leaning towards getting it when I hit onederland.

Oh we never smoked in our house, I meant smoking while he is at home outside. He used to have one right when he woke up. Then he smokes 3 before he works out, then, 3 more after that, another after lunch, one before leaving for work then he would smoke on the way to work. He smoked 2 packs per day and is now down to 2 cigarettes per day. We did not smoke in our house though because it would smell to bad.

It will be good if you can try to quit one week before at least. The biggest thing is to not buy them. I am a social smoker and have been for several years. I am quitting cold turkey as of today, but it is not difficult for me, because I do not crave them. I smoke only at the bar. My husband is a smoker and I have watched him struggle for a while to quit. I think if you don't smoke the day before, the surgery will be the push you need to stop for good. Do what you think is best though.
  7. You should be about an inch taller the morning than at night due to gravity: )

    tattoos?

I saw that one and thought it was super cute. Maybe I can add that to my leg sleeve. I think I still want one on my wrist though as a visible reminder.

I am two weeks from tomorrow. I am super excited. I will be off for one week and will work from home the following week. I am putting in for short term disability just in case it is needed. My employer will let me work from home longer I'm sure if it is needed because they need me working. I just ordered some injury protein and the vitamins they sell also, because I have heard such great reviews online. Hopefully they get here soon. Next week I will start stocking my kitchen and making sure the house is spotless. I will have to sleep in our guest room for a while because we have 5 dogs...

    tattoos?

I saw someone else posted getting the tattoo on their wrist so they can see it when they eat. I already have quite a few tattoos but they are easily hidden. I think after my surgery though that I will make the leap for the wrist tattoo. I want to get a pocket watch maybe and the time will be 4:40 because the hands will be on the 4 and 8 and my surgery is on 4/8. My only issue is how long after should I get this. I want it as a reminder when I eat but what if I fail. That would then be my only regrettable tattoo I would have.

    Vitamin D deficient

I was very vitamin d deficient about a year ago and wad told to take ten thousand iu of vitamin d per day for two months and then would get a recheck. My deficiency came from not going outside and also due to the depo privera shot for birth control.

Well that is just silly. I think my husband is nervous and may not like the idea. I got the lap band without telling him till right before the surgery date because he was in another state in the army. He knows about my revision now because we live together. I think he just knows I will do it anyways so he might as well keep his mouth shut and avoid a fight. Lol. We just want each other to be happy and don't want to hold each other back.

I am getting super excited. I will make sure to post when I have surgery.
  16. I got banded in December 2010. I lost 20 lbs on the pre op diet and it took a year and a half to lose 20 more pounds. I began having horrible reflux problems last August and have since gained all my weight back. I am scheduled for band to bypass on April 8 and am super excited. My surgeon does not seem to be concerned that revisions are riskier but he does a lot of them. I was really nervous about it until I went to an appt at his office on 3/8 and met a few people with band revisions to bypass or sleeve in the waiting room and they were so happy. It gave me a lot more confidence.

I'm about to have my upper endoscopy. I'm nervous because I haven't had one before. I'm also worried that the will find that h pylori bacteria and have to push back my surgery. Keep you're fingers crossed that this does not happen!!!!

My copay is $600 but my total out of pocket for the year is $3100. I'm guessing I will have to pay my total out of pocket.

Well my pcp gave me some antibiotics but advised me to not take them until after the endoscopy. My surgeons office said it wad fine to take it but they sounded busy and I'm not sure I trust the receptionists opinion because she did not ask any one. I think I will wait because my pcp said it could mess with the results for the h pylori testing. I asked the testing place if it's ok to still do the endoscopy while being sick and they just said to ask my doctor. So in the end I guess it's ok and we will see how it goes Thursday.
