  1. How has everyone been doing? I've lost 130lbs so I'm happy about that. However I would like to lose 20 more and now I've been struggling a little lately as far as my eating. Maybe one of the reasons is because I'm not on here as much as I use to be (it was a little hard when they were first making the transition to the new site), plus I could use more support from people who has had the surgery.

  2. It could also be Water weight. I struggle with that as well and I also weight train and someone had mentioned the water thing. Although I drink at least 64 oz of Fluid a day sometimes half is on water. So I'm trying to have at least 64 to 100 oz of just water and so far this week has been a good week with weight loss. Good luck!

  3. Hello my May fellow surgery buddies. Dedicated to you all for an update on our 6 month progress. I hope your all doing well.

Had surgery on 5-14-13. Down total of 96 lbs. Size 22 to a size 12. Lots of energy and running. Yes, I typed, running 2.6 miles about 5 times a week. Loving life. Hope your all enjoying your journey. Miss you all.

    :))

    Beautiful and congrats!

  4. We've fixed this issue. Restart the BariatricPal app on your device and you should be good to go! Please respond to this thread and let me know if you're still having any issues.

I did this as well and I'm still not able to jump to the last page and/or see my post.

  5. Dear Member,

Exciting new changes are coming to VerticalSleeveTalk.com! In a few days, VerticalSleeveTalk.com and the other Weight Loss Surgery Boards (WLSBoards) will join together and transition to BariatricPal.com! We’re excited to be leading the movement to support weight loss and health for all members of the weight loss surgery community!

WLSBoards is celebrating its 10-year anniversary, and we are planning to make the next ten years even better. That’s why we’re combining the WLSBoards into a single, more powerful force. Each of us may choose different types of weight loss surgery as our own tools for weight loss, but ultimately, we all have the common goal of fighting obesity. BariatricPal.com will be better able to serve the weight loss surgery community by advocating for our rights as a unified voice.

BariatricPal.com has the same great discussion forums as VerticalSleeveTalk.com and all of the other social media options, such as blogs, private messages and photo galleries, which you know and love from VerticalSleeveTalk.com. In addition to the Gastric Sleeve forums that you’re used to, BariatricPal.com will have new forums for all of the weight loss surgeries. You’ll also love our all-new weight loss surgery resource section with information on choosing a weight loss surgery, the weight loss surgery diets, choosing a surgeon and so much more!

Successful weight loss surgery is a big effort, and BariatricPal.com is designed to support your new healthy lifestyle. The community and information are always available on the site and using our new BariatricPal.com mobile apps. BariatricPal.com will let you track your diet and exercise to keep your weight loss and nutrition on track. Other ways to join the movement are to meet your BariatricPal.com friends in person, and to track your goals.

The launch of BariatricPal.com is hassle-free for you. Your VerticalSleeveTalk.com account and profile will automatically be transferred to BariatricPal.com.

We’re very excited about leading the charge against obesity, and we hope you are, too! Stay tuned for more information about the changeover to BariatricPal.com! At the world’s largest weight loss surgery hangout, it’s cool to be a loser!

Alex, this site does not seem to be working properly. Please help.

  6. My surgery date was 5/1 I'm down 138 lbs but have slowed way down as well I still find lots of things make me very sick

Congrat and you look great! My surgery was 5/20 and mine has slowed down as well. But I'm trying to remember it's only been 6 months and we are just halfway through a yr!

  7. Wow!! Ya'll are doing great! Mine was May 20 and I'm down 85' date=' but I've been having a hard time staying on track!!! I've started grazing again and I can't seem to get out of that habit.[/quote']

I've started grazing as well and it's been very hard to stop as well. However today I was perfect! I just got off work so I'm gonna have a shake and go to bed shortly so that I don't mess up my perfect day. I log my food and that does help some because I do feel more in control. Also if I constantly drink Water I'm less likely to feel or think I'm hungry.

  8. Mine was May 30th. Down 101 pounds now. It's slowed way down and I have another 100 pounds to lose. At 276 and would love to reach. 170.

Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

That is great mine has slowed down as well and I still would like to lose 50-60 lbs. But I'm confident that if I continue to do what I'm supposed to do ( although it's getting harder) that it can be done.

  9. Tomorrow morning I am trying a new concoction for Breakfast. I took a scoop of vanilla protein' date=' half teaspoon cinnamon, quarter teaspoon of nutmeg and ground cloves and will put 1/4 cup pumpkin and skim milk and ice and blend. My fingers are crossed that it turns out because I am sick of breakfast.

Anyone have pumpkin shake recipes they want to share? I have wanted a pumpkin lattee since fall started but alas too much sugar...[/quote']

I myself have been craving pumpkin anything and I found several pumpkin recipes on bariatricfoodie. Please let me know how your shake turns out I might have to try it.
