  7. HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 253, lost 80lbs 1st year, then gained 45 back and throwed up every day for 3 years...had band removed 8/2012...now I am in my new journey for GBP, I weigh 304 today and my goal after us probably gonna be 145-155, which seems so impossible, but I have HOPE!!
  8. Hey guys, it feels so good to hear and know that I was not alone in my LB misery!! I'm having my GBP on 4/24 and have a fear if that horrible stuck choking feeling when I eat , but after reading that u feel nothing like that makes me do happy !! Eases my fears alot !! Thanks for all the support !!
  9. I think the GB is your best choice, I had the band and lost 80 lbs the first year, and throwed up for the next 3 yrs every day...finally had it removed in August 2012, having GB on 4/24/13...wished I had chosen this originally and I would be well into my new healthy life , but better late than never!! Best of Luck!!
  10. Hang in there!! Gone 2 far to turnback now , do this for YOU, and in doing so you will be a better mother for those kids!! I agree take your daughter to a support group and have her discuss her fears!!
  11. Continued success and I haven't yet had mine, but have dealt with some nausea issues with some meds I'm on, Dramamine has done wonders for me, stops the nausea and I don't feel draggy like phenagran makes me feel!!
  12. Welcome and Congrats Mercy, I commend you on changing your life in order to save it!! That is what I am doing also on 4/24/13....I've had a band back in 2007, and had a horrible experience with gas trapped in my shoulder, but the more I walked and taking GasX was my savior!! I've since had my band removed and will be having GB soon, that gas issue scares me, but not as bad as leaving this world b4 I see my grandbabies grow up!! Hang in there !! Praying for you!! And I'm here if you need me!! Ps, I have found taking Beano b4 I eat helps alot with gas!! Janet
  13. Speaking of farting, I know after surgery it's a gassy situation, but for those of you who have already had yours for a while now, is this s daily issue ?? I heard there is a pill they can give to neutralize them so they are not so stinky?? Any input on that ?? This is a scary area for me, I absolutely hate passing gas, lol..I for one wished we never had to fart or have bowel movement ever in our lives , I know goofy ain't I, lol
  14. Hope you are feeling better soon !! Praying for you!!
