Wow! I only have 5 days until surgery!! Well I don't know if you can count that 5th day because I have to be up and getting ready at 4:30am. I have been reading everyone's posts and it seems like sleep will probably not happen that night! Everything is going so fast, yet so slow! At least I've finished my mani-pedi, getting hair cut today, grocery shopping done so hubby has food to eat! Now just need to clean house and then start getting nervous and excited! So scared about surgery, but I know it's the best decision I've made in a long time. Thank you to all that are post op for the feedback. its great to read about honest feedback. I hope everyone's surgeries go well & wishing us all an uneventful & speedy recovery! P.S. thank you Kathy for starting this thread. I remember seeing it when it was only on page one and now look how far we've come! I really appreciate the time you spend updating all of us!! I as well am 39. I decided to do this surgery because I have struggled my entire life with my weight. One of my biggest triggers to get this surgery was also the fact that my brother died at the age of 39. This was due to a heart attack and multiple strokes. So I want to get healthy by the time I turn 40 in December. I also want to be off my medicine as well. As far as people thinking I took the easy way out, well screw them. This has already been a tough process and I am still 8 days away from surgery. I have only told my husband, mom and dad, and two friends. One of the friends who likes to tell me if I just ate less and exercised more I'd lose weight. Lol! Like I haven't done that over and over! I am going to tell my BFF 2 weeks after my surgery when I will see her on vacation.i am worried about her being judge mental, but it s what it is. As for everyone else if they ask i will just tell them I am on a strict diet and exercise program. I don't feel the need to tell everyone. I have my surgery on march 14, my pre op appt is tomorrow. Feels like everything is going so fast! My pre op is tomorrow! Surgery 7 days after that. Already have my surgery time 6am! Even have all my follow up appointments scheduled already by the doctors office.love them!

Looking forward to not being winded when I walk up stairs, not having to worry if my clothes fit (too big would be great!), putting my socks on with ease, fitting nicely into an airplane seat, wanting to be in pictures, enjoying a nice beach vacation where I feel good about wearing shorts and a swimsuit, saving money on food!! Really everything!! What are you looking forward to?
