  1. Hi all! I had my surgery August 14th. Feeling pretty good besides being tired, but I went back to work Tuesday, so I blame that. Can't wait for my follow up appt next week so I can head back to the gym!
  2. I gained 3 lbs in the hospital. I was down 8 by a week after surgery.
  3. I have been trying to find a job most of my weight loss journey. I lost my last job back in April when I was 4 months into my pre-op diet documentation and was devastated. I decided to pay for COBRA and continue on the journey and look for a job along the way that would fit into my new lifestyle and family life. I had surgery 2 weeks ago tomorrow and feel great! I'm so glad I've been given this new opportunity! It seems like everything is falling into place:-)
  4. My first weigh in after surgery! HW: 286 Dos: 262 (8/14/13) Today: 251
  5. Is this the kind with the cream cheese crust I keep seeing popping up on Pinterest and Facebook?
  6. When they took me of the morphine pump I was changed to oxycodone. I went home with a script of it to use as needed for 12 days. It is a tiny pill that did not give me any trouble to take.
  7. Let me start off by saying, the only think I took before surgery were my vitamins and I am healthy besides being morbidly obese and sleep apnea. I am on now: Calcium citrate 2x a day Bariatric fusion vitamin 2x a day Magnesium oxide 1x a day Prilosec 2x a day Zofran (for nausea as needed) Oxycodone (for pain as needed) Carafate 2x a day Ursodiol 2x a day Colace 2x a day I understand that all of these are to keep me healthy though and most of these are for 30 days or less so I CAN get through it!
  8. Hey August group! I had my surgery Wednesday and am feeling a bit better each day. Having a lot of trouble getting in my protein drinks, liquids, and all those meds they give you. I never realized I'd have to take 7 pills in the morning and 6 in the evening which doesn't even include my bariatric vitamins or calcium citrate. Can't wait to Do my first weigh in next Friday though! Good luck to everyone coming up in August!
  9. I had surgery in Wednesday also and I came home Friday and I can't come close to getting in all my protein. It's not that it smells bad to me, it's just I get so full and feel miserable. I'm gonna call my nutritionist tomorrow to see if she ha any tips.
  10. Pre op I was on 12 days of liquids. Phase one after surgery is 2 weeks of liquids, phase two is 3 weeks of purée, phase three is soft foods for 3 weeks and regular food at week 9.
  11. Yes! I showed my surgeon where the pain was, mine was underneath my rib age. He said that it is gas.
