Is your doctor looking at your BMI? It is surprising what a ''healthy" weight is on that chart. He is looking at my labs and I'm not sure if he's looking at bmi or not but I'm so displeased I now weigh 145. I eat mainly what I want while watching fat and sugar that cause me to dump and my stomach only holds a little over a cup and I never stuff it. I just keep dropping weight. It's insane. But my dr assures me that I'm healthy. My husband gets upset when he hugs me because I'm starting to become boney. I would still have surgery if I had it to do over but I really wish I knew what to do to stop losing.

Hi I'm searching for anyone in my specific time period to compare notes. Is anyone out there that would like to talk about things. I'm 5'6" I began at 325 I'm now 153. I'm pretty happy. Id love to get rid of skin but that's a whole other subject. I eat pretty much what I want but mostly low fat and very little sugar seeing as I'm one of the ones who dump. When I see ppl I haven't seen in a while they hardly recognize me. It's pretty funny. I have had a few bumps along the way but if I had it to do over a million times I'd opt to do it every time. I love my new self.

I am now down to 153 seems eating more only stokes my metabolism to burn more. I am just going to go with it I guess because I'm eating like a cow with several small meals a day. Yesterday I ate for lunch a Waffle House serving of grits sausage and eggs. I mixed it up and ate about half. Later I ate 1 piece of the raisin bread that came with it. For supper I had a concoction I came up with that had brown rice tomatoes cabbage sausage and corn in it and some cracklin cornbread. I would assume that is enough but I was down one pound today so who knows??? Lol I don't even care anymore if my dr is unconcerned then why should I be. I just never expected to lose so much. I feel I look like a skeleton. But anyway!!!!

I am 5 months post-op and just reached my goal.Started at 220 and am currently at 150. Happy to meet goal' date=' but very concerned about losing too much. I am 55 years old, so I don't want to be rail thin. Would love to hear suggestions about maintenance.[/quote']
I have actually finally stopped I took thee advice to try not eating all fat free some things I still have been eating fat free and I have finally stalled at 155 I am being extremely cautious not to gain any tho

Wow. See that happened to me about 6 months ago and it was an ulcer. Nexium and carafate were prescribed and its better but I can't see you having an ulcer that soon after surgery if they tested you for the precursor to ulcers before surgery

My doc always told me only eat when hungry he has never stressed calories you are only supposed to be eating 4 oz at a time is what I've been told I'm 18 months out and can only do 6-8 oz depending on time of day and I do good to eat 800-1200 cal even now the nutritionist will argue with dr but I would rather listen to the man who performed the surgery

I was told only one egg per week cause it was bad for the pouch but as much egg beater as wanted he said cause of the cholesterol
What are they supposed to do to the pouch?? I don't eat them much simply because I hardly ever eat Breakfast. I just don't get hungry till about 10 each day. I have a little oj to keep sugar normal. But really bad on pouch??

I wonder why they don't just take it out during rouxny because are there many ppl who don't eventually have it out. I had mine out 6 month from my bypass the pain from surgery was not as bad as pain from gallbladder hurting

I have the hook up with my local Chinese restaurant I always ate there preop so they know me when I go in I get a to go plate from the buffet and eat what I can with my family there and eat on the rest for about a week also KFC side dish bowls are only 4 oz which is what is recommended after surgery so they ate great for freezing leftovers and microwaving at a later date glad also sales 4 oz bowls just some "food" for thought

Hmmm I always thought that was dumping so ate a smaller amount as directed by dr how much are you eating at one time and how long does it take you to eat it

Guys don't shoot yourself down if you don't give yourself a small treat every once in a while you WILL fail the dr don't want you not to enjoy yourself ever just not every day pick one day or sometimes two a week and have a naughty food and move on dont stress because that will depress you and make you do it more it took about 6 months to get hungry but some are shorter and some are longer I suggest myfitnesspal app you enter your food and portions and don't lie. I remember averaging between 800-1200 cal and you will lose weight with that real high Protein good complex carbs and not a lot of them few veggies they give you gas lol. Hang in there I'm 18 months out I've lost 168 lb I'm trying to stop but can't find my sweet spot on calories have fun it will come off just don't eat too many naughty foods but live happy I was so afraid when I was where y'all are and the plateaus will freak you out but have no fear they do end

Ill try that but I do use regular stuff sometimes and it makes me sick to eat fatty foods ill try tho

I am 18 months out I have lost 170 pounds I weigh 157 I am 5'6" I am pleased where I am and if I eat more I'm afraid ill stretch my pouch I'm not sure on my calorie intake but if I had to guess I'd say about 1200 cal a day sometimes more I don't mean to complain because I wanted to lose weight but I'm ready to stop and my dr won't tell me anything because he says I'm not underweight so he is not worried but I'm ready to stop
Any advice on stopping weight loss
