  1. I don't understand why your doctor would do this to you, the band is a tool and until its adjusted correctly for you (we are all different) it will be like an ordinary diet for you - and if we could do that we would not need the band!!! Maybe when you go back, give the doctor a food and exercise diary and ask him to comment on that before you get on the scales.

    Good luck.

  2. Hi Linda

I remember that too! for me it was Sept 07 - since banding I have lost about 5 and half stone (77lb) and have a bout 1 more (14lb) to go to get to my goal of the top of my bmi.

It is not easy, you have to work with the band and not around it; but once you get your fill right for you it will feel great. I was hungry straight after surgery and after each fill until my last one. I am now on 7.75mls (was up to 8 but had 0.25 taken out as I was struggling to drink until the end of the day).

You will be able to do it now, just hang on in there.

Best wishes to you in your journey. :0)

  3. This is a little graphic so don't read on if you are eating or anything.

I have this weird thing, in the morning my band is very tight - if I try to drink anything with milk in it like tea of coffee the milk seems to separate and I pd the drink but it's no longer mixed up.:rose:

Clearish liquid comes up and so does the milk in little lumps - this is quite quick and obviously something I know may happen so don't stray from my unmilked drinks too soon but a couple of days ago I bought a skinny latte when I was in my safe time and had the same thing but did not realise straight away only when I was drinking and realised that I had something coming up which turned out to be a lump of solid milk!!!:rose: I will now have milk much later so I am more safe but wondered if anyone else out there has similar happen to them as I have not seen any posts about it just the more generic pd experiences.

  4. Thanks for the feedback - I found out that I had only limited free access then had to pay, but it would not allow me even to access enough to pay the fee until they extended my free membership.

All done and paid up member now.

    Cheers.:)

  5. Hello all

I have been trying to access the UK WLS web site for a few days now but can only get as far as loggin in, I get the welcome bit then it just comes up with the error " $bbuserinfo[username], you do not have permission to access this page."

Is anyone else having this problem?

I would like to know if there is a local support group - I live in Kent if anyone knows of one please let me know.

    Thanks all.
