My surgeon here in so cal gave me all meds in liquid form...pain med lortab...zantac to prevent acid...and ursidol to prevent gallstones...im sure if you ask pharmacy they can give it to yoy...

Its taking me about 2hrs ...im 8 days post op

Im on liquid phase and was told I could I have cream of wheat as long as its creamy or really runny...plain yogurt didn't settle quite right..not sure why :/ I too am excited to start soft foods phase hopefully next week

Im one week post op...have been doing 5 to 10 min Walking about every 2 hrs..as im still in a lil pain..but am trying to move around. .question. .How much walking should I be doing so early after surgery? What was/is your walking regimen???

I am 1week post op..I stayed one night at hospital discharged next day. Im on full liquids rite now..and i too don't get full on liquids I can drink about 2 oz in 15 min..I do get the burpies too..I measure my liquids in a 1oz cup so its all being measured..but do wonder about the "full" feeling. So you are not alone

So I had my rny last wednesday at i am currently on full liquids. I noticed that on instructions doctors gave me it says to drink 1 oz every 15 minutes. However I find myself drinking about 2 oz. I am afraid that I am not getting full or i cant tell when I should be getting full..Any advice is greatly appreciated..

thats exactly how i feel..if it weren't for the 6 scars on my tummy I would have said I feel no different..lol..I am just wondering because I of course don't want to stretch out my pouch..or get sick because im overdoing it. So far I have been able to tolerate shakes/plain yogurt/cream of wheat/cream soup/ etc... hospital had me drinking diet snapple first day of surgery and I was fine...I am happy to not get sick but do wonder if this new pouch functions the way it should..letting me know when I am full

Hi...im seven post-op and I was not placed on liquid diet until day before surgery. ...Am wondering why many of you need to be on it for weeks before??? Im under Kaiser Permanente. I did a 12 week program. .list 10 lbs total from beginning of program till day of surgery. I knw some say 10% weight loss us required. ..but not for me...my hubby is scheduled for his surgery on February 11 and he too has to only do liquid diet day before..

My first weigh is a week from today...im seven days post op and feel a little bloated. Im on full liquids and have noticed my tummy looks same as I did on day of surgery. What can I expect at my first weigh in?? Will doctor run any tests?? Also I've read some doctors perform xray to check there are no leaks...my doctor never ordered that in fact I only was in hospital one night :/

I am amazed as too how many of you need to be on liquid diets for weeks prior to surgery. I was placed on 1200 cal.for one week and liquid for day before surgery. ..my surgery was last Wednesday. ..my husband Is scheduled for sleeve on 2/11 and he too was told only liquids day before surgery...well anyhow. .premier protein shake from Costco is best...especially when its very cold.

I did mine at home.they gave me a little machine that monitored my sleeping

I was told during liquid phase that it all counts towards the 64oz. ..im on full liquids now six days post op..I think im doing ok...not great but okay

Mine was last Wednesday also ...yesterday hospital case manager called to ask how I was doing and I had mentioned I hsd no bm yet..she said that if it continued till tomorrow Tuesday to give advice nurse a call or surgeon office...I had one today morning.First and only one so far :/

Im six days post op and have this burning sharp pain on my left side as well...has me a little worried. ..no pain anywhere else though :/

Five days out..had surgery on Wednesday. .had not had a bowel movement yet. Is it normal? Im on full liquids so not sure if that has anything to do with it...Also very gassy and bloated feeling. I do have a pain on left side sort of burning sharp pain...it has been going on since day of surgery. Doctor said it was normal. ..any advice..ideas and tips welcomed and greatly appreciated

Thanks. .the pain on left side is somewhat weird as there are no incisions in that specific area.Right side does not hurt at all.And my tummy looks a little deformed. Round on the right side and a little dip on the left :/
