I am at 41.6% loss to my goal. I've been banded 4 months. It's just one of those averages - I think the docs use it to protect themselves a little bit and to encourage us to do they bypass.

Oh where Oh where has Stephanie gone? I miss her humor and reading her research that she's done! She's such an information nut and it saves me the time of looking it up! lol Where ever you are - we miss you!

I got a medical loan. I prefer that to charging since it has a limited time span rather than a credit card that can go on foreverrrrrrr! Good luck to you - call your insurance and find out! You may also need to check at your work to see if they excluded it. My insurance would cover the surgery but my company specifically excluded it from our policy .... so I self paid

I'm taking Vitaband Vitamins from Bariatric Advantage. I think my hair my be getting better. I already had thin hair to begin with so I look really bald on top :think It has 300mcg of Biotin and it's a chewable. I have the watermelon flavor (won't be ording that one again) and the other flavor is lemon creme. Good luck with the hair! If you find any magic pill please share with us!!

Welcome Todd!! Congratulations on getting your date set! I was a little nervous going into it since it was elective. But, trust in God that nothing can happen that He does not allow. Ghost - I think we're twins!!! lol I won't even turn on the AC in the car unless Hubby is with me. I'm freezing - hands, feet, and nose ALL the time! I carry a sweater and a blanket in the car, just in case. I'm definitely going to have to get an electric blanket - ooooh I can almost feel the warmth now!! :boink:

I'm in McKinney but I traveled to Houston to have the surgery (because it was much cheaper since I'm a self pay). I currently drive back to Houston to get fills because they were included in the price for the first year. Three trips for fills so far... Steph - I saw your post about using someone in Hurst - I'm going to look them up in case I need an emergency fill :boink: and I don't have time to drive to Houston.

OMG! I remember the first time I heard the word Obese connected with me - I was a newlywed and 21 years old. I was absolutely offended - I clearly was not obese; I wasn't THAT large. And, then ... I only went up and up and up ... I can't wait to have that word no longer on my charts - what an amazing feeling that must be!! Congrats to you Kat :car:

Oh my gosh - I completely agree with your anger! I hate that doctor's can keep us waiting. We set appointments for a reason! I, for once, would like to actually see a dr at the time that I am supposed to! When they question me on needing a fill I always tell them that my weight loss is only due to will power and that I'm HUNGRY!! They usually don't say much after that and give me the fill :0) I'm sorry it went so bad for you ((hugs))

I haven't heard if it's changing. This was his special cash price but I didn't get the impression that it was changing. From what I remember it was because he worked out a deal with the hospital to get lower rates due to the volume he does.

Mine is about 1-2 inches below my sternum. It isn't visible yet and I can feel it when I try. I'm not sure why this spot over another or if I have the low profile or not. hmmm, not much help huh? (sorry)

I got em!! I can also do the big burps too. I stopped after giving up diet coke (one of my true loves). But now with a little restriction, the burps are back
