I here you suzziee!!! I have gone every month for a fill - going again on Monday for my 4th one. I just want it to stayyyyyy! (was that enough whine?) As usual, as soon as I make an appointment, it seems I tighten up just a tad. I have actually slimed breakfast for the last three days - I have never done this the entire time I've been banded!! Fickle little band. Oh well - sinch 'er up!

You could try whole cloth quilting. You can purchase a template or a washable ink stamped top with the design on it. Then you layer the three together and go around the design quilting. It looks really cool when it's done. I haven't done one yet, but I have the template waiting when I catch up on all my other quilt projects :0)

OK - I've got to try this one. Your results looked amazing Ghost! -
Dutchgirl - your struggles will pay off one day with giant rewards! You are such an example to single moms trying to make it. My mother was a single mom raising twins when she was 19 years old. It was tough but she made it throug hand is incredibly strong for it. My sister has been a single mom too for awhile. My sister wasn't strong and didn't rely on God so she deals with a lot of depression issues and medication to 'fix' her. Of course, now she's married, and still has all the same issues ... hmmm. Prayers for you and everyone else on here Geneva <><

Dozy - so sad to hear your troubles. You are in my prayers!

I understand changing goals!! First of all, do any of us really remember what we looked like way back when we passed that magical number? My tentative goal is 120. But I may get happy with myself before then. I want to base it on how I look and feel I think you look fabulous!!!

Suzzziee - it doesn't show that lovely price It came up as $300+ at checkout. Stephanie!!! I'm glad to know all is well with you; enjoy your weekend in Vegas!!

mrsgerragauch Your hubby should know that all things happen for a reason. They all work for good. We didn't get overweight overnight and we aren't going to be at goal just as fast either. This board has been a Godsend to me in what I'm going through. My prayers are with you and your DH. Geneva <><

I am at 41.6% loss to my goal. I've been banded 4 months. It's just one of those averages - I think the docs use it to protect themselves a little bit and to encourage us to do they bypass.

Oh where Oh where has Stephanie gone? I miss her humor and reading her research that she's done! She's such an information nut and it saves me the time of looking it up! lol Where ever you are - we miss you!

Babygotback - sounds like you had a fabulous evening! I am not very outgoing so witnessing is something that is VERY hard for me to do. Snappy - prayers for you!! I'm so glad that you are doing sooo well after surgery. Geneva <><

I got a medical loan. I prefer that to charging since it has a limited time span rather than a credit card that can go on foreverrrrrrr! Good luck to you - call your insurance and find out! You may also need to check at your work to see if they excluded it. My insurance would cover the surgery but my company specifically excluded it from our policy .... so I self paid

Specific Supplements for Temp Hair Loss?
wombat712 replied to kacee's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm taking Vitaband Vitamins from Bariatric Advantage. I think my hair my be getting better. I already had thin hair to begin with so I look really bald on top :think It has 300mcg of Biotin and it's a chewable. I have the watermelon flavor (won't be ording that one again) and the other flavor is lemon creme. Good luck with the hair! If you find any magic pill please share with us!! -
Welcome Todd!! Congratulations on getting your date set! I was a little nervous going into it since it was elective. But, trust in God that nothing can happen that He does not allow. AND, all things work for good for those that are in Christ Jesus. (I'm horrible at quoting scripture verbatim - but I got the jist of it!) My prayers are with you! <>< Geneva

Freeeezing..what does it mean?
wombat712 replied to waitingtiljan's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ghost - I think we're twins!!! lol I won't even turn on the AC in the car unless Hubby is with me. I'm freezing - hands, feet, and nose ALL the time! I carry a sweater and a blanket in the car, just in case. I'm definitely going to have to get an electric blanket - ooooh I can almost feel the warmth now!! :boink: -
I'm in McKinney but I traveled to Houston to have the surgery (because it was much cheaper since I'm a self pay). I currently drive back to Houston to get fills because they were included in the price for the first year. Three trips for fills so far... Steph - I saw your post about using someone in Hurst - I'm going to look them up in case I need an emergency fill :boink: and I don't have time to drive to Houston.

Way to go Paula!!!!!!!! :boink:
