Bigbaby - Happy Birthday!!! Steph - glad to see you back; you look so happy in your slide show :scared:

Welcome Hollyberries!! Hugs and prayers to all for this week. Thanksgiving is going to be one of the first big challenges for our food. I pray that we all "listen" to our bands and we don't get stuck, slime, or PB! Today, I am thankful for my God, my Family, my Church, my Band and for LBT!! Geneva <><

Kacee - thank you!!!! OMG I'm going to the store TONIGHT to get some head and shoulders!! Thank you thank you thank you!! My part just grows wider and wider (I already had thin hair to begin with) -
What does "watch your personals" mean?
wombat712 replied to wombat712's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I will - I promise to share what I find out. I'm even more curious now after reading some of these responses -
Weazer that is beautiful!! I know what you mean about not always being able to tell. My son was saved when he was 9, and then when he was 12 he confessed to the pastor that he only did so because everyone else was. He became truly saved and baptized; he cried, I cried Still I sometimes wonder based on actions but we can't judge. Hugs & Prayers, Geneva

I have had 2 body wraps and I loved them!! It really did sinch in the skin. Of course both times I had it done, I got pregnant shortly thereafter. (No worries about that now  ) I'm thinking I want to do it again. It wasn't that high the last time I had it done (but that was 10 years ago). My only issue was that it made my back hurt because you are wrapped so tight. You have to stay wrapped for about an hour, they keep dousing your with Fluid and you have to move around wiggling and various things to help it out.

mbanja - I will try to not keep it in next time. I just hate tossing my Cookies so much that I have always suffered through if there was any way possible. I didn't think about it making it worse for it just sitting there. I guess that would add to the irritation of the stoma. I spit out all slime and saliva the whole time because there wasn't anywhere for it to go. It took me 20 minutes to drink my slim fast this morning. I had to take a pill (very small) so I was a little concerned about that but I haven't had any issues. Thanks so much for your comments!

Thanks mumof2boys!! I'm at five months and mine has been falling out for about a month. I'm going to cling to the hope of one more month and hopefully baby hair sprouts will be mine!!!!

My tummy is getting pretty squishy. No thanks to stretch marks from my two lovely children either. Between that, the weight loss, and the squishy; it's quite a sight :heh:

Spanx.....anyone wear them? I have a question.....
wombat712 replied to JudiM's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm with MM. I want to get one but I'm worried about the correct size. I'm so short that I usually have to get a bigger size because of my weight. JLB - what store sells the Spanx? I've found them on the internet but would like to look and touch one in person. Oh and if you use the internet - use shopzilla.com to search out the cheapest price! It's amazing what range they can come up with. I found some for $25 up to $50 -
I went to Dr. Spivak in Houston, but I live in McKinney (North of Dallas). I don't know why I haven't stumbled onto this thread before. Nice to meet everyone!

I took it easy w/ a slim fast tonight. Since I seem to be tighter in the mornings lately, then I will do a drink for breakfast as well. Other than that, I'm going to make sure I'm REALLY chewing like I'm supposed to Thanks for your comments - I want to avoid a reply of today if possible.

That is the ultimate goal - to look more like Him than ourselves! It's a lifelong jouney - I only wish I had started it sooner. I was young and didn't "actively" try to grow until I was 30. Such a waste. But, it did finally bring my husband to the Lord as well as both of my children shortly after him. Hugs & Prayers to all! Geneva <><

What type of scale do you all recommend?
wombat712 replied to aubrie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I believe I have the same one from WalMart. I know it wasn't over $50. They had some that were and I think they carry the Weight Watchers official scale. I like my scale because it's digital. I want every 10th of a pound to show - it keeps me motivated. I don't rely on the Water and the fat numbers. They seemed a little too iffy. Good luck to you! -
Aren't you sweet Thanks for the compliment. I actually should be higher in my opinion. I still haven't started exercising which would make a much bigger difference. (I don't like to sweat ) I'll be starting soon now. I'm getting close to when it will start to come off slower and I will need to do ALL of my part to help the band succeed.

I had no results with it. It's expensive for it to not work. I had thin hair to begin with but it is MUCH thinner now. For about the last month I've been losing a handful each morning (such a tragedy). There are several hair threads on here and we have been reassured that the hair will grow back in time. Just how much time we don't know. Good luck with your hair!

How the heck to you sip without getting air in?
wombat712 replied to hollyberries's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can totally relate I was miserable forever after I was banded. My kids, too, are obsessed with pooh. It's all funny to them. -
What does "watch your personals" mean?

Thanks for y'alls thoughts. I have never met the lady but I will try to pass on a message asking for some clarification. -
Yea for you!! Just a little more patience and you will soon have a surgery date! Good luck on your banding journey!

How the heck to you sip without getting air in?
wombat712 replied to hollyberries's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Someone posted (and please forgive me because I don't remember who) that they would exhale completely, tilt their head back slightly and then swallow. I actually did this for my last fill so that I wouldn't burp so much that they would say they had to take some back out. I am nice and snug now -
I just caught the last episode of this one but I LOVE the biggest loser! I like the off season shows as well, they are a little shorter. Can you really rent the previous seasons? I would so love to see them. The inspiration is just amazing!

Ugh - I had my first PB I ate the same thing yesterday just fine! I experienced my first sliming episode last week. I guess I started getting complacent on the rules and not chewing like I should. How long should I stay on liquids after a PB?
-
I had my first PB today :cry I tried for 45 minutes to just stay with stuck and spit like a mad woman. I just started getting stuck last week for Breakfast when I would choose poorly. Today (after #4 fill) I got stuck on egg whites and turkey sausage. Anyway, during the attempt, I felt it change and knew that I was no longer going to be able to keep it in. I have to say that this felt more like ralphing than what I had heard of a PB. Lost everything I ate which wasn't much. I am on liquids for the rest of the day. (Should I also do liquids tomorrow?) I hate throwing up - makes me cry every time :think I'm so good at NOT throwing up that I can't remember doing it since my son was born 14 years ago. Oh well, it wasn't as bad as I expected and I survived it. I will certainly chew better from now on!!
