Can I ask why calcium citrate rather than calcium carbonate? What's the benefit / difference? I was just told to add a calcium supplement without any extra details

Good luck to you Julie!!!!!! Hugs & prayers for you! wombat -
Insub - you can do it!!!! I swear you sound like you are working for the same person I was working for!!! Oh the memories. You're not working in Carrollton TX are you?!?! lol. This will make you stronger. I, too, have noticed that I am not willing to take the treatment that I once received. I don't allow comments to slide etc. I am becoming more vocal about standing up for myself. That's a HUGE change for me. I am very quiet and shy Hugs for you!!

O2B - you look great!!!!!! Such a change in your tummy and your beautiful face  Awesome Awesome!! -
I will gurgle and squeak as food goes through. We won't mention the burping and (ahhem) gas that has increased since being banded. I do still get other noises as I get hungry but certainly less than what you are describing!

I took the flintstone gummies for awhile - quite tasty but not really what I need I am now taking Vitaband by Bariatric Advantage. I am on the watermelon flavor - not my favorite. I will purchase the lemon flavor next time. They are chalky and I just chew them up and drink a glass of Water afterwards. Then I have a chocolate calcium chew to treat myself for taking my Vitamins. I have (hopefully) attached a picture of their nutrients. Good luck finding one!!

Good Stores for Transitioning from Plus to Regular

I love Steve & Barry's and Kohl's I love the Bitten line of jeans at Steve & Barry's (Sarah Jessica Parker). The boyfriend jeans have a looser waist and are low rise. I LOVE THEM AND the price!! They are $15 so I can get new ones with every size rather than trying to make do. -
nvalicia - how do you eat beef jerkey?!? I have trouble with steak unless it is SUPER tender. I love beef jerkey but I figured if I couldn't get steak down then I'd be crazy to try it. Bigbaby!!!! You look great!!!! Your tummy rolls have disappeared!!! Woohoo!!

DID you GAIN OR LOSE WEIGHT POST-OP BEFORE YOUR FIRST FILLS.
wombat712 replied to LovingWhatIs's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I lost almost 15 pounds. I had to wait 4 weeks for my first fill. I was really too scared to eat because I didn't want to hurt anything. The financial commitment alone was spurring me on to do what I was supposed to do. I couldn't afford a revision or a redo if I screwed it up eating crap that I wasn't supposed to -
How cool is that?!?! I didn't know you could do such a thing!

I like to sew, quilt, decorate, flower arrangements, sing, and be with my family. I volunteer as treasurer for my son's high school band as well as doing the books for my church. Oh, and I'm in school part time to get my degree. I decided to get married instead of finishing school way back when I want to learn how to dance and paint like Water colors and acrylics. I'll try anything at least once. I have already given up making candles, soap making, ceramics and stained glass.

I so love shopping now!!! I started as a tight 18. I didn't like to buy anything because I always hated how it looks on me. All the cute stuff doesn't come in our size Anyway, I went shopping this past weekend and tried on all 14's and some 12's. The 14's were perfect, but bought a couple of 12's to wear with the Spanx  And .... bonus!!! I can wear heels again!! OMG!!! I bought some fabulous knee high Vera Wang boots from Kohl's!! Lord, I think they had a 5" heel. That's a little high for me so I was still in pain by the end of my company's Christmas party - but they looked good Even the drunk by the valet told me so

Neeners - my prayers are with you as you have surgery tomorrow!!!! The day is at hand. May God be with you, guiding you, protecting, and providing you all the Grace and Mercy you need exactly when you need it!! Welcome Jaymie!!! I'm so excited for you. I know this is a life-changing event; one that I am eternally grateful for!! I have not felt this good in years and years!! I feel young again and like I can do ALL things through Christ Jesus just like the bible says Congratulations to you!! Hugs and prayers to all Wombat (Geneva)

Mine is truly a curse. Any major event or even not so major - Aunt Flo is there; from my wedding day, anniversary, birthday, our cruise, trip to Australia, prom, parties, etc my entire life!! Mine is honery enough that even if I mapped it out on a calendar, it will adjust to still show up early or late (what ever is necessary to screw up my plans). So, just to be consistent, she was there when I had my lapband as well I can't go the tampon route so they give you these lovely mesh panties and a pad the size of a hand towel. Good luck to you!!!! wombat

I forgot that you were in Hurst. I remember you posted about your fill doctor there. I called them but they won't take me unless I turn over all of my care to them. I will be switching to them when my "free" year is up. I cannot continue to drive to Houston everytime I need a fill!! I've been lucky that I haven't gotten too tight and had to do an unfill. I know the farther along the more that can be an issue. I've already had 4 fills :scared: Have a great weekend y'all!!! My hell week at work is almost over and I think I'm going to crash this weekend!!! -

Awesome dress I'm going to have to check out that shop too!! Everyone looks fabulous!!!!!!!! I'll be posting mine at Christmas Want to get in my full 6 months - every ounce counts lol -
Good luck to you Julie!!!! I quit 4 years ago so I can relate! I had smoked for 12 years. I'm excited for you I know it's tough but you can do it!!!!!
-
Good luck Insub!! It's hard quitting - they always abuse you at the end - overwork you etc. I think they are hoping you leave early etc so they don't have to pay you. I worked at one job that was an absolute nightmare. I would cry on the way in to work it was that bad. When I turned I my notice, my boss made my life a living hell. I REFUSED to give her the satisfaction of not working out my notice and toughed it out to the end. By the time I left, her face was all pinched up like a shrew

You can also buy at home kits  Walgreens has one for $40. I haven't tried it yet but I'm planning too. I've had the full body wraps and I think they are wonderful. Around here it's about $100 per session. However, I would like to focus on my thighs, stomach, arms, and a turkey neck .... hmm, that's starting to sound like my whole body
