Smaller Clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wombat712 replied to kyteachjules's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
congrats kyteach!!! What a success faithmd - how are you gonna keep 'em on or up with 100 gone? I couldn't keep my pants on after 60 pounds. I could de-pants myself walking across the room. I only have about 4 outfits in any size as I've been going down. I just can't afford to shop that much -
welcome back Holli!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO for you!!!!!

Hugs and prayers for all you "newbies"!!!!! God is sooooo good!! He knows the desires of our hearts and will grant them to us! What brings such a warm fuzzy to my heart is knowing that where two or three are gathered in his name (right here on this site) there I am in the midst of them!! GOD IS HERE!!! {{hugs}} wombat

Couch to 5K Anyone want to start with me ?
wombat712 replied to coltonwade's topic in Fitness & Exercise
LULU - I'm impressed that you are on week 6!!!! You're a real jogger now!! I, too, hope to do this forever. I don't have a love for it when I'm doing it but I feel fantastic when I get done! My biggest concern is just the distance and time! I am not trying to increase speed until after I get through the program. I am running at 4.4 and walking at 3.0. I just push it for that last final minute. lol, I am not trying to get to running that hard the whole time!! I'm 5'0" tall so I think that was about the max I can take with my short legs. I may up the running to 4.5 just because I find myself crowding the front and it's harder to keep myself back than it is to go up one more notch. Does that make sense? Maybe that's how you know you need to speed up - I don't know. I started at 4.3 running and moved it up when I had the same issue before. How do y'all know when to up your speed? Happy running! wombat -
If I'm not retarded and this actually works, then this is the link... http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f64/dfw-meet-up-50228/#post695640

Did another day of week 4. This time I up'd my last minute to 6.0 mph!! Holy cow!! I forgot what number I used last time and I thought the 5.0 felt a little slow and that I could run a little faster. Who knew - I'm well on my way to becoming a jogger! Have a FABULOUS Thursday!!! wombat -
oh - and wouldn't a helmet mess up my hair? lol

I hear ya!! My issues is that I have no way of transporting my bike. I have a cruiser (yep - old lady bike) because of my arthritis. Bending forward and leaning on my hands doesn't work well for me. It does sound like fun though! wombat

Stef - you would be an AWESOME personal trainer!!! Feel free to use me as a guinea pig anytime!! Bigbaby - you will get there!! The 1's are just around the corner! Ja9va - welcome back!! My DH used to have seasonal depression too - every winter like clockwork. I know it's hard to keep eating solid foods that get stuck when you just want to eat something!! Even if it isn't the greatest. {{hugs}} Do any of y'all like shrimp and clam chowder? I have a fabulous recipe from a lap-band book that is to die for! It tastes like clam chowder but is made w/ shrimp. If you puree it then it's like a bisque - and ... the best part is, is that it's super healthy!

I want to get unfilled, at goal for over 3 yrs
wombat712 replied to Mariposa Bella's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The aciphex is prescribed. You can get over the counter prevacid, tagament and zantac that might work. This one is just stronger. good luck to you! wombat -
bcrazy - I lost a lot of hair as well. Almost 50% on top. It is now growing back in. I have lots of one inch fuzzzies sticking up everywhere. I'm starting to look like the "crazy" lady!! No complaints though - I'm glad it's coming back in. Everyone says it eventually stops. I know that doesn't make it easier to deal with. I had thin hair to begin with so I had lots of scalp showing! I take a multi-vitamin, calcium suppl, iron suppl, and a folate suppl. wombat

Yea lulu!!!!! I should be on week 6 with you but I slacked for a couple of weeks I did week 4 today!!! I even up'd my speed to 5.0 for the last minute :smile2: DH didn't think it was right that I could run as fast as him - especially since he's a foot taller! I was not liking life about 1/2 way though but it felt sooooo good when I got done. I'm going to learn to love running - I'm going to learn to love running ... Happy Tuesday!! wombat -

I don't know about unfills, but have you tried medication for reflux? I take aciphex which is a small pill. Slightly bigger than birth control. If I don't take it then I get the acid in the throat. With the med, I can lay flat at night without issues. They implied that this wouldn't be an issue after banding - it worked for all of 3 months for me before it came back  I wish you luck in getting it taken care of! I know it's miserable wombat -

Yes it is set to music. Like dance and techno music. A voice tells you when it's time to run and when it's time to walk. I like it much better than staring at the clock! Congrats on getting started! wombat -
Update for me :cheers2: I love my latest fill!!! Wombat712 .... 152.8 ..... 120 ....... 144.6 .............. 24.6

Woohoo Stephanie!!! My number keeps going down these days - no complaints here. Not sure what I'm doing differently. I've been a tad stressed and haven't been eating quite as much and certainly not good healthy choices either. hmmm - I'll take it either way! I'm sad I missed the rainbow!! We had a little hail at my house - couple of pieces were golfball size. Somehow none of them hit my 2 cars parked outside - woohoo!! Other parts of McKinney had so much hail it looked like it had snowed. Glad you were spared. Captain Danbo - you should definitley ask her out even if everyone is around. You can do it quietly without calling lots of attention to it :cheers2: You are a cutie and she would be crazy to say no!! If she's making comments then she's interested!!!!
-
welcome bzymom!!! Glad to hear you are feeling better! Wow it sounds like you've had a rough start. Your spirit sounds fabulous though! Hugs to you! wombat

aaawwwe The board has been pretty quiet today. Maybe everyone else has had much better weather than we have had here  Hope you didn't get too much hail! wombat

You are both blessed 2bemeagain and Mrs Peace!!! I worry about my children 14 and 10. It isn't cool now for my 14 year old so I keep working on him. He is in church every Sunday. He only told me once he didn't want to go - I let him know that as long as he lives in MY house then WE go to church on Sunday - even if he's 30!!!! I was saved at 15 and I know I did some stupid things in college despite already being a Christian. I hope and pray that my children can find their way in the Lord. Hugs to all wombat

woohoo Bigbaby!!!!!! You are on your way  Texgirly - sorry to hear you've been so sick. My daughter has been out of school for 3 days with the flu. I'm thanking God that the rest of us haven't caught it. I went to the office and ran my 3rd day of week 3!!!!! No excuses - nor rain or hail. lol I am looking forward to getting into week 4!!!! whosya - I cannot imagine that kind of snow!! I'm freezing here in TX and I know you're rolling your eyes! lol I think it is beautiful up there but the winters would do me in!
