  1. At the hospital for prep-op testing today. This is getting real now.
  2. I didn't call as often as I wanted to, and it turns out people didn't have the right paperwork. Who Knows how long it would've taken if I hadn't called and brought it to their attention. My paperwork could've been submitted two weeks earlier than it was. Keep calling!!
  3. Congratulations!!! It'll be here before you know it
  4. Board games are always fun for me! Shopping or just walking around the mall or people watching. Take up the ukulele -- you can practice together and sing.
  5. Mine is not a full liquid diet, but shakes for Breakfast and lunch and then protein and veggie (low fat, low carb) for dinner. I started Monday and I'm on it for two weeks. Liquids only the day before Surgery.
  6. Sugar free jello is only 10 calories per serving I bought a whole bunch of different flavors and have them waiting for me in the fridge.
  7. Hey Nella! Welcome! Come on over to the April Dates thread
  8. WooHooo!!!! Congrats!
  9. I hope everything works out, Jess!
  10. Canna, I bought Celebrate vitamins---multivit, calcium and iron. They taste pretty good for a Chewable vitamin. I ordered them from their website. They are specially for Bariatric patients. I got a three month supply of each and it cost me about$100. I didn't think that was too bad.
  11. First day of two week pro-op. Had protein shake for breakfast and lunch. And I CAN'T WAIT for Dinner!! I'm not truly hungry but I do miss eating already. These next two weeks are going to be hard.
  12. You can do it, just keep everything scheduled the way it is. Have you tried the patch? That helped me a lot!
  13. Thank you!!
  14. Me too, Krystal!
  15. Hi Jake! My understanding is that over the next 6 months, your stomach will grow in size until it can hold about 8oz at a time. So you will be able to get more fluids in faster as time goes on. I'm still Pre-op, so no first-hand experience. Maybe one of the December group will chime in.
  16. Oh! During the exam, he wanted to see if I had realistic expectations about the surgery, what it entailed, and the changes I would need to make for it to work.
  17. I agree--the psychological exam was no big deal. Mine took less than 30 minutes. I have heard some people have to do long questionnaires and such, but I have yet to hear anyone get denied by the psychiatrist. I'm sure you'll be fine!!
  18. Congrats on your approval!! I love this board--i've learned so much from others here. It's a great resource and support group
  19. Jello Mountain
  20. So I just had my last meal---hamburger, fries and a shake! I know I'm bad! Then I went over to WALLYWORLD and bought myself 20 bucks of sugar free jello. LOL...people in line looking at me like I'm crazy ;P
  21. I've been wondering how I'm gonna get my liquids in when I'm back to work. I'm Not allowed to have anything in my room either. I guess I'll be taking lots of short breaks!
