The day of surgery 1/08/13 my bmi was 39.. I weight 234.. I'm 5ft 2in.. My weight 6 weeks later is 209.. My surgeon want me to get down to 130lbs. I haven't been that weight since I was 14 and I'm now 40. But I know I can do it cuz it gets easier as each day goes by! Good luck to everyone on this journey -

Omg I'm almost 4 weeks post op and I can't eat hardly anything without feeling like its stuck. Hopefully this gets better -
Good luck! I'm 13 days post op, at first I sat in my bed in pain and thought omg what did I do? But after a couple days the pain got better and the journey now seems easier besides not being able to eat the same old foods that got u this way.. But it's oh so worth it! Dos-234 today- 219

I had my surgery on the 8th of jan and started bleeding on the 10th and it's pretty heavy. Anyone else experience this?

Day 8 and I'm doing amazingly well.. Thanks for all the support and new updates they are so helpful.. I'm still having a very hard time getting my 64oz of fluid a day and definitely having a hard time eating. I'm not hungry and can't seem to make myself eat.. I'm definitely taking all my vitimins. I think I will go to gnc and get some protein shakes maybe this will help out -
Post op day 6. Had my drain tube removed

Had my first dr visit after surgery today.. They removed the tube! Yay what a relief that was.. But the best news is that I'm down 11 lbs! Whoo hoo!! -

I'm finally on the losers bench.. Doctors say I may go home today.. I can say this has been an experience that will change my life forever. I now understand what the others are saying about the pain.. Gas pains! Wow! Just glad the hard part is over.. Please continue to pray for a full recovery
