  1. Hi all. I go in this morning' date=' and all of a sudden my stomach is a bundle of nerves. Those that pray, please say a little prayer for me today. Thanks![/quote']

Pray and remember why you are doing this and you will be fine. In a few hours your journey will be started. Keep us updated!!!! Yayyyyy

  2. You look great. Wow your shoe size shrunk by a whole size.....impressive. I'm looking forward to that. I haven't had my surgery yet but I have found myself venturing into the misses section and just imagining what it would be like to buy even size 12 clothing. Yayyy so excited.

Yeah I could t believe it. Unfortunately i had to shoe shop also especially since its summer. Cant be having open toes with all that space lol. When is your surgery and what type?

  3. You look great! Even though I'm a size small & size 1 in jeans I tend to look at plus size & say wait I'm a small. Sometimes sales ppl say your shopping for someone else.

Wow you look great! Yeah its pretty weird not realizing your new size immediately. Its mental and force of habit

  4. Yes girl!!! I have left Old Navy several times with NOTHING because I couldn't wrap my head around purchasing a dress in a size large. I thought to myself that can't actually need a large so it must go back on the rack.

I haven't been to Old navy at all but I might go this weekend. I am not supposed to buy anything else so maybe i shouldn't huh? Lol you wear that large girl and watch it turn to a medium!!!! I love it, amazing huh?

  5. Ms Diva you look amazing. I love the fact that your body appears to be losing in all areas at the same time.

My shoe size went down from a 9/9.5 to a 8/8.5 ... I had to purge all my shoes.

I'm having a hard time shopping too. I started out in a 3x and now I'm rocking a Med/Lg and 12/14. I've had a ball closet jumping in my 21 and 10 year old girls closet. They got the nerve to get mad... But I buy everything. LOL

Me??? You look great as well. Thanks also:). I wish I had girls to raid their closets. Only 2 teenage boys who now questions me about bow wearing my arms and legs out lol. I was a 3x 22/24 also. Now I am floating between 12-16 depending on how its made. Feels amazing. Just need to lose these tires on my stomach and my inner thigh flab lol. Im working on it lol. And you tell those girls you are letting them borrow those clothing but it really belongs to you lol

  6. Has anyone else found it hard to wrap your minds around the weight you have lost? What I mean is...I sometimes forget that I can now wear a smaller size. I still find myself going to the same regular stores that have plus sizes. It hasn't totally kicked in that yes...I can just go grab an outfit from almost any store now. I guess since I have been limited for years on my selection of stores, its hard to deviate sometimes. I have also went down one whole shoe size and is able to wear very high heels comfortably. So slowly but surely I am getting my sexy(er) back. Lol.

  7. It is heartbreaking for sure!! I had a almost 8 week stall. Then had 2 months I had only lost 14 pounds!! But I lost over 50 the first month and now I am losing 2-3 pounds a week again and I will be 7 months post op on the 29th.

I hope my stall is over. Its been about 7 weeks. Mow that I am out of rapid weight loss phase ay 6 months I PRAY I can lose this last 50 to reach my personal goal. I am 70 lbs down now.

  8. We all need to realize that we have to let our bodies decide. Its going to take time' date=' and there is going to be a point when we stop losing. We can just keep up with the plan and let our body sort out the rest.[/quote']

You are right! I am going to of course stick with it. I just woke up this morning feeling blah and as if I was not losing enough. But losing is better than gaining. I have lost this weight so far because I have been doing what I am supposed to. So the scale will catch up! Im just going to keep at the program and remain positive. Thanks for your message

  9. I am 9 weeks post op and I am down 34 lbs. SD was 12-7-12 and I weighed 283 today 249. I feel great knowing that being that I am losing!!!

I am sure I am not getting ALL daily Protein in but its still a work in progress. For the past month I have worked out 5 days/week.

Is this an average weight loss or should I have lost more? I guess I am feeling a bit like my progress is slow and I am not going to be where I want to be by the time 6 months get here in this rapid WL phase.

  10. I had surgery 12/15/12. Changing of the taste buds is normal. Mine has changed :-( and I believe they continue to change. I hope that you're able to find some type of Water that works for you. To not feel hungry early on is also normal.

5 weeks out so your surgery must have been close to mine. Are you on puréed foods' date=' or soft?

I do use MyFitnessPal as well and many of us do. It is a great tracking tool. I use my phone mainly for it due to convenience however, sometimes I do get on the computer.

My surgery was 12/7/12. So this Friday will be 5 weeks. I was cleared to start my transition or regular food diet at my one month post op. I am never hungry though, its weird. I thought something was wrong with me lol. Yes my taste buds have changed totally. So weird! I need to ask my Surgeon why that happens. How has your progress been?

  11. Hello everyone! Hopefully this New Year is starting off to a great start for you! I am 5 weeks post op and I am having a Problem. I am having trouble getting all my liquids in. I loved Water, but its really hard now to get down. Crystal light, etc disgusts me now. Some of the flavored water I don't like anymore. UGH!!! Is this normal? Is it normal to not feel hungry at anytime? Im pretty sure I am not even getting enough liquid or daily Protein in as of yet. My NUT said that I will work up to the protein level. Has anyone else been through this specifically? Advice? Oh, I went to bariware.com and bought the tool there! Do any of you have that?
