How's everyone doing? I've seen so much progress throughout this group and am so proud of everyone. For the most part I've been doing ok. I do struggle, lose a little here and there-and yet I noticed I've been sabotaging myself. I don't eat much, but I'm not making the best choices and snacking too much. I've sucked at getting my protein and water in, so today I stepped it up. No snacking, clean eating and lots of protein. I worked so hard to get here, I can't see myself being satisfied with mediocre results. I want to be happy in the skin I'm in and be proud of the progress I've made, but feel like I'm disappointing myself. Anyone else go through that?

I'm with you Jessie. Haven't been drinking shakes but after reading the last few comments here I saw I was sabotaging myself. I had one for bfast this am and a double scoop shake this evening. With my tuna at lunch and chicken at dinner, I got in 108g today. Lets get these scales moving!!

I had a one month stall as well-focus on the inches and how you feel. It will help you get through until the weight shifts. You're doing awesome!

Stall has officially and finally broken!!!! I met another goal, I'm the same weight I was in high school, 185 and wear from a size 12-14 in jeans, med-lrg in tops. I think the trick was to make dinner my smallest meal and not put anything in my mouth other than plain water after 9:00pm. I was snacking too much in the evenings. Even in little quantities I eat and staying under my allotted calories-the healthy snacks do harm. From now on, my day starts with water and then a protein shake before any food, and it will end with water. My next goal is 165. Might take me a few months to get there-but eventually this slow losing turtle will!!

I was able to lose those added 2 lbs and get down past my lowest by 0.2 lb-but it's a loss and progress so I'll take it!! I'm now at 186.5, hoping I can get to 145 by my birthday (Nov. 7th). ;]
  9. My bday is also November-I'll be 39. Small small world.
  10. VS is good about measuring. They don't make you feel self conscious at all. Just wear a tank top.
  11. Yup, right here with you ladies! Hate to admit it, but my belly fat sags less than the thighs-so I tend to look in aw at the thighs and pinch them more often. They aren't small by any means yet, but its kinda surreal that those are my legs. I still have so far to go, and have been stalled for almost a month-but one day the surgeons will be cutting off a lot of skin (which I hope leads to several -lbs) and enhancing these sagging deflated balloons for boobs of mine. As for my bat wings, I better get lifting weights cause I'm guessing I'll only be able to talk my hubby into so much plastic surgery, lol.
  12. I've never been blessed in the boob area, I have more booty than anything. The only time I wore more than a C was at my highest weight, and it was a 40D. If I went to a 42 it was a C. My 17 and 19yo's have bigger boobs than me. Since losing 55lbs, (and after having 3 kids 13 +yrs ago) my boobs look like sad deflated balloons. I joke that I now belong to the Itty Bitty Titty Committee! Yes, I would LOVE a lift and breast augmentation and hope one is in my future after I reach goal-but until then, it's Body by Victoria bras from Victoria Secret that help me pull the girls up and add that extra they need so badly. Oh, and although I knew it could use a little firming...l now have quite a bit less junk in the trunk. Am I greedy for wishing my tummy, arms and thighs would follow suit?!

What does an all protein diet consist of?

So sorry-its so frustrating!!! We're all going at a different pace, and I'm afraid mine is slow too. I've lost about 52. I was almost 240 DOS, am now 188. I was 186.8, but gained about 2lbs and stalled in the last two weeks. I know part is related to my hypo-thyroid, part to not getting in enough protein. I do exercise regularly but not super heavily. My caloric intake is steady at 900, but sometimes I get "the snackies" in the late afternoon/evenings, and it's not "good" food that I snack on. I think we go into this knowing it will be hard, hope it will be easier than what we've done before, get excited at losses, then when we face stalls it's even more disappointing.

Need your help here: stalled, but the worst part is my overwhelming desire to snack in the evening. Just a couple months ago I had to force myself to eat-now I have to force myself to stay away. I know better and am super frustrated... I am so scared of gaining weight! I've lost over 75lbs before having WLS and gained 45 of them back, I really don't want that to happen again after all I've been through. Since. Surgery I'm down 52lbs and still have along way to go. Obviously I'm freaking out.

Super frustrated to be stalling-knew it would happen at some point, but apparently I also gained a couple pounds! I was even drinking a ton of water...however my protein intake wasn't too great. That being said, I usually do pretty good with food in the morning, but want to snack in the evening. I know what I "should" do-but darn if I can follow through. I'm still exercising, even though what I can do with my knee injury is limited. Where are the days a couple months ago when I just didn't care about food at all???

Hope everyone had a great day today, got to spend it with my hubby and his family at my bro and sis-in-laws house, mostly poolside. Was nice to be in swim shorts and a long halter swim top and not feel horribly self conscious. Even though I tracked in MFP (for the most part) I allowed myself to go outside my new box this weekend. Gave my body a bit of a break, will go back at it hard tomorrow. Planning to try to cut out meat for a while, eat more beans and try cooking with tofu. Should be interesting!!
