  1. I bought some salted almonds at the store on Sunday. I'm now addicted to them.
  2. Mine was in my left forearm
  3. I am for the most part. Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely happy that I've lost so much, but I feel like I should've lost more by now. Not comparing myself to others, just going by what my surgeon told me. Kinda nervous that I won't meet my goal :-/
  4. Got my first pen pal box today! I love it! Got a great travel cup, some Luna carrot cake protein bars that sound SO yummy (I know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow) and a cute little notebook. Plus a handwritten note Thank you to my pen pal Carol (I don't know your username)!!!
  5. I was given diet Snapple in the hospital
  6. I was told under 15 per item or under 25 for a full meal
  7. We went to the movies this afternoon. I had a small handful and it was beyond delicious! And no problems either!
  8. Don what kind of protein bars do you eat?
  9. Oh I'm so excited now!!! I'm trying some soon!
  10. I'm kinda wondering this myself. Popcorn is (was) one of my favorites and my nutrition list says to avoid it, but not for how long I should avoid it. You do ok with it?
  11. I don't know HOW I'm supposed to get closer to 1.000 when I can't even get up to 800! ugh.
  12. I'm starting to wonder if I'm not getting enough calories and that's part of the reason my weight loss has slowed. On average I get less than 800 a day. Whats everyone else getting?
  13. No, I've never even heard of them. What are they?
  14. I was on full liquids and pureed soups for 2 weeks, then soft foods for 6 weeks, then regular foods after that
  15. I downloaded the C25K app (a version of the the couch to 5k) and did Day 1 today. Well, lets just say the jogging portion of it did not go so well lol. I still have pain in my left knee, though it has eased up a lot since surgery. I couldn't do all the jogging but I did what I could. But I'm determined to do it so I will just keep repeating Day 1 until I complete it right, then I'll move on to Day 2. I decided today that I am going to start kicking my butt into gear. I'm not going to let my surgeon scare me or make me feel like a failure. Also I have a friend that had the surgery before me and she did great with it, though she definitely does not do all the things she's supposed to. There's a whole back story with her...basically I'm a 'fake friend' to her, which I know sounds horrible, but like I said there's a whole 14 year story behind it. And there's no way I'm going to let her do better at this than me!
  16. My bf and I have made the decision that we don't want kids. There's still a small part of me that wants kids, but mostly we enjoy having our freedom, and we see friends that have kids and how their lives ended up and just don't want to be like that. I do feel kinda guilty sometimes that my parents won't get to have grand kids.
  17. I'm in MA but when I went through my divorce we had no property or children. I filed and the fee was $230 but I filed a hardship waiver and didn't have to pay anything. Mailed in the papers and got notified of a court date. We went and were granted the divorce, and it was final 90 days later. Altogether from when I filed until it was final, was about 6 months. Couldn't hurt to get some advice from a lawyer if you think he may give you some trouble.
  18. Thanks. I hope he was wrong because I feel like a total failure at this right now
  19. I had my 3 month appointment today. I thought I was doing good in losing 53 lbs since surgery. He told me the general rule is that you lose half of what you wil lost total in the first 3 months, which means I'd only lose a little over 100 lbs total. I have NEVER heard this before. Has anyone else heard this? Have you found this to be your experience? I know I definitely don't work out nearly as much as I should so i will be stepping that up but I'm hoping he was just trying to scare me into motivation.
  20. Yeah I think I'm going to try it. The shot just won't be convenient anymore :-/
  21. And it's really easy to put in/take out? The whole 'foreign object' thing makes me nervous.
  22. I do sometimes take some papaya enzyme before eating salad, helps with the digestion.
