  1. Im 4 months post op rny and pregnant... 5 weeks pregnant. What should i expect?

Im 10 months post op and 7 months pregnant. Besides the slow down of the weight loss process you can expect the pregnancy symptons which can be confused with the symptons of the surgery.

  2. My goal was down to 150 And then get pregnant. My docs said no baby til Atleast 1 1/2 to 2 years out. We've been trying for 5 years and 5 miscarriages. So I went on mirena about 4 months before surgery. Good luck to you I wish I could get pregnant early

My surgeon wasnt that worried about me pregnant. The main problem that i cant seem to kick is diabetes. Im not on medication but my OB has practically denied me of everything that i can eat. I actually gain 6lbs because i was snacking excessively to maintain my blood sugar. I decided that as long as the baby is healthy and growing i will maintain my calorie intake of 1500 per day. I lost five pounds shortly after. My OB has never had to deal with a paitient like me and i think she overexagerates my situation. My labs are great, my blood pressure is great, my cholestrol is great. The only problem is after i eat my blood sugar rise. Im thinking of finding another DR.

  3. Well congrats on the weight loss and pregnancy too im also worried about getting pregnant im 6 weeks post op i went to my gyn to get birth control and she won't put me on it until im down to 250lbs my sw was 363lb and im 327lb now....on the plus side just think if u wouldve gotten pregnant before bypass u prob would've gained alot more weight by now

Thank you! My starting weight was 375, me and my husband have been trying to have a child for 4 years. I wasnt expecting to get pregnant this soon! Im still making progress and once this is over im confident my goal weight will be reached.

  4. What in the world did i get myself into?! I found out i was pregnant 5months after my surgery. I wasnt too happy about it. I was just starting to enjoy my life again and then BOOM! I can honestly say I tried everything to avoid this happening. In November and December me and my husband we're going at it like rabbits. I was warned that this would happen. But I was having too much fun.

The good thing was at continue to lose weight all the way until about 2 weeks ago. Then within a week I gained 6 pounds. I was flabbergasted. So I started that on my Fitness Pal to watch what I was eating. I lost 5 pounds in a week. I have not done any major exercising 6th February. I am constantly exhausted. And now my blood sugar is a concern again for my doctors. They want me to concentrate on keeping my blood sugar levels rather then concentrate on losing weight. I'm frustrated and annoyed. But my baby is fine a growing very well. As the god that I only have 3 more months to go. Because I'm ready to move on and am reach my goal weight. I am now 251 and my goal weight is 200. If I wasn't pregnant I would have been in 200 a long time ago.

I'm still maintaining and still feel good about myself here's a pic from last Saturday.

  5. I am 6 months post op. Although i didnt make it to the 400 mark i was pretty close. At my heaviest i was 376 today i am 265. I lost over 100lbs. Im very proud of what i have accomplished so far and i know i will continue looseing. As long as you are eating right, working out, you will loose the weight. I try not to think about the numbers on the scale because it makes you obsessed. Its amazing how quickly i lost 100 lbs, because i weigh myself once a month and i did not notice the rapid weight loss. My advice to everyone on here is to not concentrate on the scale as much, manage what you eat, excerise, live your life, try new activities, become more active and before you know it you will accomplish your goal weight.

  6. Today' date=' 1/17, is my six month surg-aversary. Including my pre-op loss of 13 pounds, I'm down a grand total of 105 pounds. From 373 to 268! Yes, I have a ways to go yet - my goal is 175 - but for the first time in many, many years that seems attainable! I am so thankful![/quote']

Congrats! Keep up the good work! :-)

  7. Wow' date=' that is amazing! Can you tell me what your daily eating/exercise routine is? I'd love to get results like that when I have my rny.

Sent with kindness and support for everyone's journey.[/quote']

    Thanks alot! :-)

My eating habits suck! Im lucky if i manage to consume 1000 calories a day. I drinking protien anything, and my hair has suffered as a result. Thats the truth.

Im trying to correct these little issues. Now i track my eating,i try to eat as health as i can. I've to live without rice and bread. ( which is hard because im from the carribean and meal is not complete without rice.) I drink a lot lot Water. I walk at least 4 times a week. I NEVER weigh my self because I refuse to be a slave to the scale, i measure my success by the fit of my clothes. Thats it. Im down to 270 from 375. Im on my way to wearing a size 16 from a size 30-32. My health has greatly improved. And I'm only 5 months post op.

  8. I been attacking my husband everyday a few times in a role. I go out to buy or get something & I'm calling him on the phone just so we can have sex. If he's not around I have a personal"toy".. I seem not to get enough. If he's done here I go again. I can't get sex out of my mind. Is it age just turn 34 it is losing all this weight?

Omg! Im having this same issue. I few years younger than you and since the weightloss, me and my husband has been going at it like rabbits.

  9. Thanks for all the advice its nice to have someone to talk to who has been there... can you tell me about your surgery?

I had my surgery on 8/8/12. My starting weight was 376, and i was diagnosed with all the extra fixings. Diabetes, high cholestrol, high blood pressure, thyroid issues and more. My surgery was really smooth, i had one complication three weeks after a spent a week in the hospital. Ive been good since then. As of my last weigh in on Friday i am done to 271! I feel great! My energy level is up, my confidence is through the roof. Unfortunately b4 my surgery i did not know about thos forum, i went in to this blind. I did not know anyone else who went through this and i did i did not know what expect. The only i regret is not doing this sooner. Don't worry the whole process is not as complicated as it seems. Just be on top of what ur surgeon request of you and you will be ok.

  10. I have not heard as of yet any being denied by medicaid. Check your medicaid plan, find out which plan ur Dr. accept and make sure. Each medicaid plan has there own requirements. When i went to my seminar , i was advised to switch to the medipass plan because they move fast.
