  1. I'm a little over 4 weeks post op now & on fork tender foods. I've had no issues with any food I've tried. I'm very careful to take small bites, chew well & eat very slowly. I'm beginning to be able to get all my Protein in with food & not have to supplement with a Protein shake. I'm visiting with my daughter & 2 year old granddaughter this weekend & we went to a community Easter carnival & Easter Egg Hunt yesterday & I was so proud that I was able to handle all the walking without getting out of breath or searching for some where to sit down constantly! I, too, am noticing that my once tight skin (from being full of fat) is now much softer, loose & jiggly. Not looking forward to the massive sagging but the playoffs are SO gonna be worth it! 3. It was highly recommended to me by my doctor, nutritionist, and other bypass patients but I got it yesterday, puréed it, & ate 1/2 cup last night and 2 hours later had the worst stomach cramps of my life! Took 2 Gas- X & it eased off after about 30 mins. Now I'm scared to eat the rest!
  4. Only 2 Lovenox shots to go. Woohoo!!!
  5. Ok just had my first dumping experience. Not sure what caused it really. Every one whose had the surgery said to get Wendy's chili as soon as I could do puréed. I did that & measured 1/2 cup. About 2 hours later MISERABLE waves of stomach pain & constant belching. The only thing I can figure is 1/2 cup was too much.
  6. I started Stage 2 Puréed Foods today. I've had Greek yogurt, ricotta cheese with marinara sauce & melted mozzarella, and cottage cheese. I'm planning to have retried beans with melted mozzarella, low fat sour cream & salsa for dinner. It's so great to finally eat something! RNY Surgery 2/28/13. 8. So sorry for those having complications. I want to share my good news but I almost feel guilty doing so. I'm 12 days post op and having very little pain. I haven't used my pain meds since I got home. I had my first post op visit today and I've lost 12 lbs in 12 days! I'm very pleased! And I get to start puréed foods tomorrow! Woop! Wood! =) RNY Surgery 2/28/13. Starting Weight: 296 Day of Surgery Weight: 274 - Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
