  1. Hi all you February Post-Ops! I follow the boards but don't post all that often. I've noticed this thread has really slowed down and I'd like to get an update from you all to see how it's going. I've hit a major stall and I know it's because I've started to allow myself more carbs and even a bite of something sweet here and there. I had stopped recording my food in myfitnesspal.com as well. I started back yesterday and am being extremely "mindful" of everything that goes in my mouth. While I feel great and am very happy with my size L/14 body, I am still considered obese on the BMI chart. My ultimate goal would be to reach a weight that is considered healthy on the BMI chart, but my first goal is just to get to the overweight category! lol Let me hear from you all!

  4. Yes I get hungry too. It still takes very little to fill me up though. RNY Surgery 2/28/13. Starting Weight: 296 Day of Surgery Weight: 274. Current Weight 208 - Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  5. I "try" to eat enough protein through food and I can do it on a good day if I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks. But if on the run or unable to get all the protein from food, I drink a protein shake or eat a protein bar to supplement.
  6. Wow. How often do you have to have iron infusions?
  7. Has any one else had an issue with their iron saturation level post RNY? I've had 4 iron infusions over the last 8 weeks and my level keeps going down rather than up! I'm having issues with heavy periods as well which is what they are attributing the low iron saturation level to. I'm just wondering how many infusions I'm gonna have to have to get this under control. At $50 co-payment a pop, they are starting to break me!
  8. I'm exactly 1/2 way to my goal weight. RNY Surgery 2/28/13. Starting Weight: 296 Day of Surgery Weight: 274. Current Weight 212- Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  9. It's official! I'm 1/2 way there!!! :D
  10. I also hate when people you're not close to ask "so how much have you lost now?" Eventually I'm gonna start saying, "A lot!" and leave it at that.
  11. Just had an Atkins Advantage Cinnamon Bun Bar. YUMMY! 16 grams of protein!
  12. NSVs I've noticed lately: (1) I now have a lap! (2) I no longer have to avoid booths! (3) I can cross my legs without using my hands! (4) I'm off ALL prescription meds! (5) I enjoy shopping again! I want to plan a girls weekend shopping trip! (6) I fit comfortably into movie theater seats! (7) I'm not always the biggest person in the room!
  13. How did you get your ticker to show both BMI & weight?
  14. I've reached a milestone! I now have less than 100 lbs to lose to reach a healthy BMI! Next milestone, the 1/2 mark! Feeling accomplished!
  15. Woohoo! Celebrating a 6.5 lb loss this week after gaining 2.5 week before last and losing only 1.5 last week. Effects of Dr. adjusting my bp meds seems to have worn off and "Aunt Flow's" visit probably helped alot too!
  16. Baked tilapia with Old Bay Seasoning, green peas with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and 1 Sweet & Low packet. Yum!
  17. Thanks for your post! My surgery was 2/28/13 and I too experienced a gain this week of 2.5 lbs. When I stepped on the scale, I was dumbfounded! I thought, how is it possible to gain weight eating only 500 to 600 calories a day??? I don't eat anything that's not on my prescribed diet, but I admit I have trouble getting all the protein and water in. I weigh again tomorrow. I sure hope the number goes back down but I'm not feeling very optimistic as I don't "feel" like I've lost anything.
  18. How much of the unflavored Unjury powder do you put in yogurt or jello? I must put too much because I DEFINITELY taste it and it tastes NASTY!
  19. Had Shelly's Chicken Cordon Bleu. Yummy! RNY Surgery 2/28/13. Starting Weight: 296 Day of Surgery Weight: 274. Current Weight 241 Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  20. This is one of many videos available from this channel. RNY Surgery 2/28/13. Starting Weight: 296 Day of Surgery Weight: 274. Current Weight 241 - Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  21. Thanks for the tip!
  22. How much do you use per ounce?
  23. I'm looking for information on the fitbit. Any one using it? If so, which one are you using? Does it upload automatically to myfitnesspal? How do you like it?
  24. I agree! But I'm pretty much right there with you with the same intake & approximately same loss. It's frustrating but I know it will happen in time.
