Hi Everyone, I'm Vanessa and I'm a new military spouse and my solider is currently overseas. He has been supporting me through the whole process before he left and now it's getting closer to when I find out my surgery date. (Fingers Crossed for April an Date). Continuing the process after he left, he would ask how things were going and of course I informed him. Now he is getting worried and stressing about him not being able to be here to take care of me after surgery. He is very supportive and I'm thinking positive on how much I will change when he returns and how amazing it's going to be. I just have multiple emotions about everything. I wanted to start this thread to see how other military spouses are dealing with the surgery before and/or after while their soldier are either overseas or at home. Please share, I would love to hear stories and see how other couples are handling the surgery changes and getting through the process.

I can't wait to have energy and not get so tired easily, I can't wait to weigh in the 100's, I can't wait to feel sexy for my husband (although he loves my body now), I can't wait to wear tanks tops in the spring and the summer, I can't wait till my legs stop rubbing against each other (in which I swear creates friction lol) I just can't wait to be healthy, feel healthy and live healthy!

WOW All you guys look AMAZING! You guys are all my Inspiration....just waiting for my date and SO ready to finally get that Wow feeling and be in the 100's (which I have never been since middle school and Im 23 right now. Proud of Everyone! Keep up the good work!

So My Pre Op Appointment is only a couple of weeks away and I have been winging myself off of certain foods and drinks. I quit soda, alcohol, and now just stopped drinking coffee and that's a big one for me. I am trying to stay focused but some days I just want something sweet and don't know how to fight the craving. I was just wondering how you all fight the craving and stay on track or what substitutes you use? Need some motivation and support, please share.

I got the call a couple of days ago saying that I have a date for my surgery which is March 4th, but that the doctors could change it because it is based on when the doctor can do it. I started my journey in November 2012, and when I was weighed the doctor said that I need to maintain my weight which was 256. Now that the holidays passed I gained 4 pounds and now at 260. I am stressing thinking when I go for my doctor check up before my surgery they are going to post pone it cause I gained a little. Has his happen and they had to push it back, or are they going to be easy on me? Because right now I am working out like crazy and dieting so I can drop the extra lbs before I have to go in which might be in two weeks.
