TOTAL OF AN 8 MONTH JOURNEY

  2. I normal dont drink at all... I haven't had a drink of anything since July/Aug 2012... Since I went completely healthy. BUT my surgery is in 5 days so today I plan on having a few coronas with my barbque.

As for not drinking for up to a year. I'd be totally fine to never drink again. I'm not a big drinker anyway. LOL

  3. 5 days until my surgery and this weekend will be my "food Funeral" weekend to eat (but not pig out) on all the yummie scrumpciously uplifting foods I can get my hands on.

RIP you freaking delicious mouth watering obnoxiously fat Ass food. You will be missed but ALWAYS remembered.

    Moment of silence please! LOL

  4. Reason2Live... Thanks Girl, I seriously needed to hear that. I told my fiance I wasn't telling anyone else. He's in the medical field... He delivers, repairs and maintain medical equipment and beds. He deals with the RNs at the hospital I'm having surgery and he didn't want me to to there cause everyone he knows will be in my business. I'm ok with "those folks".. they took excellent care of me when I had pneumonia.

You're right tho... I don't need to tell anyone else.

  5. Hey WLS Fam... I'm new to the forum and loving all the chitty chatty info talk here. I've learned so so much!

So I'm 6 days until surgery. My Dr's office, support groups and friends that have already went through this have been soooo supportive. My family and friends talk so negative about my decision. My mom has been great and my fiance is trying to be as supportive but he's honestly scared for me.

His sister, my aunt and cousin who are RNs are like DO NOT HAVE THIS SURGERY.... too many complications, there is leakage, pneumonia, life long issues.

I 5'4 and started at 259 lbs and during my 7 month journey of jumping through the required loopty-loops I've managed to get down to 216. So now the new talk is... Oh you dont need this surgery you can do it on your own.

Oh Em Gee... Please shut and mind your own business...

I'm on so many different meds

    Asthma

    High Blood Pressure

    Back pain

    I'm pre diabetic...

And let's not talk about this CPAP machine my Pulmonary Dr just put me on.. My sex life has taking a serious dive. Looking like Darth Vadar at bed time is not sexy AT ALL. A sexy gown and perfume can't distract from the mask..

    OMG... I'm just bothered!

  6. I'm up walking and drinking so yay! All went well with my surgery. My only major complaints are that all broth and Jello tastes like snot....seriously' date=' and I just wish I could fart. I'm burping like a drunken sailor though. One last thing, OUCH OUCH! Pain is better today, but when the pain meds wear off...just OUCH![/quote']

cranialmalady... My surgery is next week so please keep me posted with you blow by blow experience. I'm so nervous!

Do you still have your catheter in?

  7. I have my surgery on October 19th 2012

Went in at 227. I weighed in this morning before I ate anything and I was 183. I tinker back n forth between 185 and one 182. Is this normal. Or am I done losing.

I'm glad you posted this... I just got approved and my surgery is next week. I started at 259 and dropped down to 216 while completing my 7 months of requirements. Now that I'm 216 I've been nervous with having the surgery. I'm scared I'm going to lose too much weight. Now that I've read your story it makes me feel better. I just visioned me dropping 100 lbs and being at 116 lbs and looking sucked up and unhealthy. Feeling better now.. thanks
