I had my surgery on March 14th. So far everything is great. I ended up having an allergic reaction to the bandages. I got welts with blisters around the edges of my bandaids. To be honest' date=' the welts hurt more than than the staples. I walk all of the time. I can even climb my stairs. I'm so excited to start the healthy new me. Yes a drainage! Lol dnt be scared not all doctors will leave it and it doesnt hurt. Its just there' date=' every so often i have to empty it and measure how much fluids it sucked out. It sucks out all the blood and irrigation left behind after surgery.[/quote']

My surgery weight was 216 too !!! I am 163 right now' date=' April 9 is my 1 year anniversary. I would like to get down to 150 where I am comfortable at which is a size 8-10 for me. I'm 5'4 1/2". Only 13 more lbs. to go.[/quote']

What happens if you keep losig weight beyond your goal. Does the Dr have you do something to slow the weight loss down?

Hey everyone! I'm about 14 hours since my surgery. Pain is bearable. I think i fought nausea more than anything. Lots of Zofran and Phenegren. I'm so happy to be done! I have a Blake drain and a g tube. Left incision under my breast hurts the most. Doing my deep breathing and coughing and anti blood clot exercises. It's such a relief to hear everyone is doing good. My surgery is in 3 days ... Registering with the Hospital and doing blood work today.

Cranial... So after day 3 you were off your meds? Wow! Have you been able to get all of your Water down by the end of the day?

I haven't been hungry since the day before surgery....that's been 6 days. I'm drinking constantly though.

How long has it been?

How much have you lost?

Any pain still?

Does Water taste funny to you?

Some of my medication my stomach just couldn't handle it and it would make me vomit instantly. 1/4 of my ambien made me start talking' date=' dancing and doing stuff in my sleep that u couldn't remember. I had I take liquid antibiotics first few months for kidney infection and pills were way too large.

What I dont under stand is... Are we suppose to crush he pill and dump the pill dust in our mouth and wash it down with a "sip" of Water?

I can't wait... To wrap a normal size bath towel all the way around me and tuck it in.

I can't wait... To shop at Forever 21

I can't wait... To run up a flight of stairs without being out of breath.

I can't wait... To look at the scale without leaning all the way forward to see what I weigh.

I can't wait... To be able to squat down to tie my shoes

I can't wait... To be done with my CPAP machine. Going to bed every night looking like Darth Vader is really messig up my sex life.

Doing the sleep study is actually going to protect you. After the surgery you'll be prone to getting pneumonia and if you have Apnea a CPAP machine will help.

Also.. with out all of these appts your insurance company will deny you and make you do it.

I did the test too before the sleep study... That's all part of it.

Hang in there.. being delayed a month or two is actually the best thing ...
