  1. Getting a little frustrated already this early in the game. Only 9 days post op and I've been on a plateau for 3 to for days. Its crazy because I'm 201.4 and I can just smell 199 but refuses to cone.

I've learned to get all my Protein in and now focusing on my Water too.

Any other March folks having the same issue?

  2. I'm sad this morning. I got tired of weighing myself every day so I am spacing it to every other day. I'm meeting my Protein goal except for maybe 5-6grams every day. I'm still trying to get all my liquids in. But last time I weighed in it said 249.8. Two days layer...250.6. I know there are plateaus but this is definitely discouraging!! I didn't think I'd get one so soon.

I wish I knew what to do. I only eat/ drink protein. MFP says 70% of my intake is protein' date=' 15% fat and 15% carbs. I can't cut any carbs out because they come in the shakes. Same with fat. My period is over so I can't say it's that.

    :(

I hope everyone else has better luck than mine!

  3. I was the same age... Had the same issues... My kids were the same age (including my oldest) I just didn't have my surgery yet.

I stuck around another 2 years and finally had ended up cheating to escape the madness. Finally one day.out of the blue I said F-this mental abuse. I saw not only how it affected me but also my kids.

I'm very strong and can give "it" back at you harder then I get it.. but half the time just ignored him. That hurt more. But I did cry myself to sleep cause I was miserably frustrated and felt stuck.

I took my kids to lunch one day and them that I wanted to move and hoe daddy and I were working out and sometimes it was like that. My kids couldn't give a flying F about us staying together. They did struggle with the actual event of having a new hone dynamics and daddy had his own pkace... But the fool moved into the sane town homes as me.

  4. Awesome! You can buy some Protein powders and bars with it' date=' As long as the label reads "Nutrition Facts" and

not "Supplement Facts" it is considered a food and can be purchased with EBT.

Jessica. can't wait to start this journey. Approved, waiting on a date!!![/quote']

That's a nice fact to know. Mine just stooped and I wish I knew that.

  5. Thus surgery is such a judgmental and controversal topic... I HATE THIS! This is the reason I'm attending Easter dinner at my grandmothers house 1.5 hours away and I'm not even 2 weeks post op. But... I wanted to be the one to tell my entire "nosey Ass" family and explain why I did it and let them see visually that I'm just fine. Also I wanted to open the lines of communication for them to ask any questions and so be able to educate them. I'm hoping it will eliminate gossip and ignorant opinions of this surgery. We'll see... This could also back fire on me and I can feel like I'm on the national debate team tomorrow. My last rebuttal will be about how I was the one with X, Y, Z and 1, 2, 3 elements not you!!!

  6. That put mine in on the surgery table while I was knocked out... And they removed it like in 24 hours.

Reality is.. that catheter will come in handy when you come out of surgery. Your stomach will be sore and the morphine pump will be connected to you. Your major focus will be on hitting that button and relaxing through the surgery pains.

If the Catheter is your biggest fear... You will do really well.

  7. Sleepy?

I am still on the pain meds (lortab) I'm so sleepy and can literally not hold my eyes open. I know I get tired quickly I'm only 4 days post' date=' but I feel drugged. Is it the surgery or the meds or the combo??[/quote']

Welcome home Elle... Enjoy the meds! Rest.... Relax!

Can you drink all 20 oz of that? OMG... It would take me 3 days.. lol

  9. I was really interested in Soups too but at my 1 week appt yesterday my Dr suggested that I not focus on any soups until I've mastered getting my Protein and Water in. Said that I'll notice that I won't have time or room in ny stomach for Soup.

If Anyone has figured out how to do this. Please let me know. I love soups!

  10. I was having it and post 6 days I went to walgreens and purchased Vitamin E Oil. I got the serum in the pump. I also got the 100% cocanut butter. I gotta look and see the brands. Spent maybe $10.

OH EM GEE... This has been my savior. My spots of dryness are my face, under my chin and my chest and back. I use the stick on the spots and also apply one pump to the areas. The first day I noticed a difference.

    I livw by it now!

  11. No appearing to have any difficulty eating any certain foods' date=' just had egg substitutes,1/4 cup with ff cheese and cottage cheese blended with peaches for breakfast. Pretty good. Don't get hungry just know I need to eat, so doing well over here. My mother is here to help which is nice, going to try yogurt for lunch and maybe some tuna.

Good luck everyone! Hope the day is treating you well.[/quote']

Can't wait.. I have my 1 week appt in 3 hours then I'll be released to eat. I am sneaking some cream of wheat right now tho.

  12. Kids are strong! I have a 13 year old son and he started cooking after I had the surgery. He went grocery shopping and did laundry as well. I had open bypass so I was out of commission for a while. He's so proud of me' date=' especially the fact that I quit smoking on the day of surgery and I no longer drink. He's my best friend even though I think he's jealous that he's not going to be the only child later on this year.
