  1. I need help.... I am so depressed. I am almost seven weeks out and I am only averaging around 2 pounds per week. I’ve only lost 9 pounds in the last 4 weeks. I am on my second stall. I was at the doctor's on Wednesday and when I asked about it they just said you should be averaging at least 5 pounds per week now and then just looked concerned. I get my fluids' date=' Vitamins and Protein in almost every day. I'm even eating 700 calories a day which is more than most people at my stage. And no, my measurements have not changed. Waist is barley an inch smaller.

I just can't believe I had my insides altered for almost the same results I was getting before surgery. The Dr. told me to up my Protein (only 10 grams which I was close to on most days anyway) and take a laxative (that has been an issue but it has not helped with the weight). I am just so scared right now and I am trying not to cry as I sit here and type this.

Any encouragement or kind words would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Heather[/quote']

I am right there with you in the slow losers bench ! I too feel im doing all I can to do everything right and the scale hardly moves !! Ugh !!

  2. So this is my first post to RNY. I have been reading alot of the post and the replys by the users. I have to say' date=' you people are amazing. The way you all share opinions, experiences and support one another is almost unheard of in every day life anymore. I go in for my surgery in 75 days. I am actually getting the surgery done on my birthday (I requested by birthday and my doctor was able to accomodate me). I figured I started life on this day 36 years ago and might as well start new one on this date again. I am a type 2 diabetic and my doctor has told me I may not have to take anymore of my diabetic pills even as soon as the day I am released from the hospital. Anyone have any experience with this? Is it possible that I can stop the tidal wave of pills I need to take? My primary doctor has been talking to me about the bypass for over 3 years now. He has told me time and time again this is the cure to type to diabetes. I finally took his advise and set an appointment to go to the seminar on the surgery. I walked out so impressed and hopefull that I went home and started my research online. I am now set up to have the surgery March 18th and cannot wait. The greatest thing about this is my wife has been with me every step of the way and she has her surgery scheduled for 1 month later.[/quote']

I am a type 2 diabetic with a Ac1 of 11 prior to surgery on 12-4 and I too am no longer on meds !! I will caution you on this though you had referred to taking a lot of pills and although I don't take diabetic medicine it had been replaced by the many Vitamins I take daily !!

  3. Woohooo I am so excited. Today is my official 2 month weigh-in and I have lost 50 pounds' date=' 94 pounds from my heighest. I am so happy to have lost 50 and am finally feeling like this surgery was worth it. It has taken me awhile to get here just because of all the changes I have had to make and the fact that I can't eat food to make me happy. I never relized how much I relied on food for my happiness but I did 100%. I think the weight loss and feeling healthy and having more energy is my new happiness. I still have my moments when I miss the crappy foods that I love but for the most part I am doing pretty damn good. I can't wait to lose more and feel even healthier and more alive. This is amazing!!! To those people who are having a hard time just hold on as tight as you can. You WILL get to a better spot I promise!!![/quote']

Congrats by the way !! Great job ! How often do you exercise ??
