  1. I'm kinda new to the forums. I read them a lot but have barely posted anything. My name is Nich, Im 26 years old & I live in California. I just got sleeved a few days ago on January 16th! I've looked into WLS quite a bit over the years but I was always so nervous about the things that could go wrong. This last year my health started to spiral downwards really bad. My weight hit about 426lbs. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, I had flare ups of Gout in my ankles & toes repeatedly for several months, my feet became a huge issue that eventually my doctor took me out of work & put me on temp disability. It seemed to be one health issue after another. I've been big my whole life & its been a never ending battle. Last year I eventually decided that I had to make a change & the best start for me seemed to be surgery!! I'm really looking forward to living a healthier life. 2. I'm on day five of my liquid pre op! The first three days were the hardest. My stomach is still a bit tumbly & I feel hungry often. But the craving are finally gone. Every time that I start to feel not so great, I drink water & it literally evens me out. This is honestly easier than I imagined! Best of luck to you Sent from my LGMS550 using BariatricPal mobile app

  4. I'm on day 4 of the 10 day liquid pre op diet! I feel like I'm doing really well so far. I don't feel nearly as bad as I thought I would. But cravings are still pretty strong. I'm working on learning how to better control my cravings. My girlfriend & I had discussed & planned for the whole family to start eating healthier. Before I started the liquid diet we cleaned our house out of any junk food & I was really excited for the support! The first few days we had all of our meals together, it didnt bother me to have a protein shake instead of their home cooked meals. Day 3 of my liquid diet comes around & on our way home from running errands, she pulls into fast food drive thru for her & the kids. I get handed their meals to hold in the car while she drives. Then we get home & when they sit down to eat I went into the restroom because I felt like crying. I came out afterwards & made my shake for dinner. Well it started an argument, I guess its not fair of me to ask them to eat out without me around. My girlfriend thinks Im selfish to expect them not to eat out when we are having busy days. My only request is for me to not be around to witness it!! I dont think its a huge request. Now I feel bad as if I'm making life difficult for my family. I knew the changes would be hard. I can't expect my family to completely change, But I had just hoped for more understanding & support. Can anyone relate? How would you react? Any advice or tips are helpful. 5. Hello. I'm new to the site. I'm 21years old and I'm from California. I've struggled with my weight all my life. I've been researching about gastric bypass for the last few years. I need to get healthy or my life is just going to keep going down hill. I'm still young & I know that there's still a chance for me to turn my life around. I really want to get the surgery but I'm scared that I won't be able to. I don't have any insurance & my family is dirt poor. Do I have any options that could help me? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you
