  1. I know that loose skin is practically in our future for most of us. But oh how I hate my bat wings. Im only 3 months post op and witth 72 pounds down my arms look better then they did before of course but oh my lord the bat wngs are so bad I do a lot I MEAN ALOT of arm excercises 7 days a week so I am doing the best I can but does anyone have any other miracle solutions for loose skin? Any lotions or anything to help your skin???
  2. Im starting a thread on things you cant wait to do/accomplish after surgery.. I can't wait... for that moment where I don't have to use a beach towel after a shower! till I can ride my bike with my daughter without my tire going flat the moment I hop on the bike! to give my daughters a bath with out running out of breath! till I can take my boyfriend out on a date to his favorite place Six Flags without being in fear that the security lock on the roller coaster wont fit me or I wont fit in the seat period! till I can play hide n seek with my daughter and be able to run without feeling like I'm about to collapse! till food is no longer something I seek for comfort yet only for necesity because my body needs nutrients not because my emotions need to be fed!

  4. Ok Im going to try my hardest to eat more and up my calorie intake Its just so hard. Huh Funny thought: If somebody would of told me 4 months ago your going to have to make an effort to eat more everyday! lol I would of thought they were CRAY CRAY!
  5. OK! So I have been patient. I have been mellow about it... now I am mad, angry and inpatient. I am at a stall of almost 4 weeks now and its killing me - The scale wont move down from 250! My surgery was 11/26. My calorie intake is still way under anything normal the highest it goes up to is maybe 700 and the lowest is 400 when I do just Protein shakes. I am not hungry and I feel stuffed so I just CANT add anymore. There are days I only drink protein because I just feel so full all day! I work out literally 6 days a week. Mon-Sat. 1 hour of cardio everyday and 3 days of the week I do weight training to tone up. What am I doing wrong? What have any of you done to break this plateau and keep going? HELP PLEASE I AM GOING CRRRRRRAAAAAZY!
  6. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE SPANX! I've been wearing them for years pre and post op! They keep you smooth, nice and tight all while letting you breathe!!! lol I use the HigherPower spanx that go all the way up to below your breastline and all the way down right above your knee to avoid any panty lines or bulges coming out your thighs. They recently came out with a new one I like to wear with skirts.. HigherPowe brief it ends at your hips so you can wear skirts and shorts yet keeps your tummy and waist smooth, nice and tight. I literally wear them EVERYDAY! I will not leave the house with out them on. I feel all loose and wabboly with out em;. I first would buy them at Lane Bryant then online @ spanx.com now I do EBAY! The same thing and cheaper just because it has a little thread coming out or overstock. Not once have I had a bad experience on ebay and every item I get is new. Prices on ebay range from 12- 18... on spanx.com or lane bryant or other plus size stores prices are way above 35-40 dollars. Hope this helps!

    The brand I use is Spanx. You can go to spanx.com and find them cheaper on EBAY. I can excercise well with them. I use them during the day and work out. I love them.

    I Can't Wait Till....

    Updated List: Things I can't wait for and inspire/motivate me to keep going: - Use a regular bath towel and not a beach towel because nothing else will cover my body. - use high heels with out fear of falling over!(TIMMMMBER! LOL) - I can take my daughter to Disneyland without fearing that I won't fit in the rides. - Take my hubby on a date to Six Flags... he loves that place but I never want to go for the same reason as Disneyland. - I want to run/walk a marathon! - I can run or walk fast with out feeling like im going to die! - Buy cute bras that wont break the bank! I used to LOVE Lane Bryant and now I HATE THEM! LOL so expensive! - Buy clothes anywhere! not just specialty plus size stores! - Be that girl that when I walk by people think: Wow look how great she looks! - Be able to try different activities in the bedroom and surprise my hubby! - be so fit that working out is a hobby and not a necesity! -look @ my feel when I look down. - Cross my legs! - Paint my toe nails with out being in a awkard position so I can reach my toes! - Be able to soak in a bath! soak meaning I fit in the tub and actually have the Water cover my body! - Go to the movies and be able to sit comfortably in the chair with out rubbing up agains the person next to me! For the most part I want to be an example to my daughters!!! For a healthy lifestyle!
  9. Seriously Im dreading the summer! lol long sleeves and 3 quarter sleeves are my BFFS! If I hold my arms up like forming the letter T with my body and twist my hand a little I can see where my muscle is and everything else that hangs is all skin so ugly. But I like thefact that I can see my muscle and its not all mushy with fat! I will probably invest in a good thick firming lotion to at least help the appareance of my sking and make it healthier. Thanks Worm!!!

    I jiggle everywhere too Horrible but my BFF! Is SPANX! I do wear them daily! They help me stay compressed and tight. When I dont wear them I feel all over the place and feel so lose! Spanx can be pricey so EBAY is my way to go. They sell them new with defects that are returned by stores. I have like 8 pairs and I have bought them all in the range of 12-18 dollars. I have so many because I use them everyday and I go to the gym everyday so I cant wear it more then once. It really makes a big difference whem Im working out I don jiggle as much. For my chest I buy sport bras from walmart usually a size too small so that they stay put! I wear a size E in spanx and I wear a size 21-23 in Jeans depending on the brand. I was also wearing the size e spanx when I was up to a size 26. They were so tight on me then. I would be outta breath when ever I would put them on. I just bought a size d but they dont even go up my thighs yet so Ill just have to keep working hard at it. Hope this helps.

    Dear Elliptical, I hate you.

    OMG! I love this thread! My first time on that horrible and awesome machine I lasted 3 min and I felt like I was about to pass out. My legs felt like rubberbands! Horrible. I kept at it. I added a min or 2 a day. I can now do 45 min and feel like I get a great workout!!! I love it!! If I get on the treadmill it means Im having a lazy day and I feel so dissapointed in myself. The Elliptical works so many of your muscles and your butt and legs! its awesome!! My toes get numb too! omg its crazy! has anyone found any remedies for this?
  13. OMG I can't believe it's been 3 months. Time has flown by. I am doing great. Working out 7 days a week and feel better then ever. I knew I had lost weight. Im obsessed with the scale and weigh myself everyday. I need to change that but the point is... i knew the pounds were coming off nut when I saw these pics side by side I almost passed out. I started crying uncontrollably. I still don't know how to explain it. I feel so happy for how good I look and to see that all my hard work is paying off. I also felt extremely sad that I looked the way I did. How did I allow myself to get that far. Absolutely the best choice I've ever made about my health and body. 70+ pounds down about 90 to go!!! Dont be scared! because more then likely there is change going on and worse case scenario if there is no change seeing it will help you visualize and it push you harder to make changes come to you!!   15. Yes! Take pics! Im not constantly taking pics so I think that once a month is fine. I take them in the same spot and was going to wear the same clothes all the time but the pants and top I had in the first pic are way to big now and you can't see the difference or not as good anyway because they are so loose so I opted for the same color scheme. lol Good luck! Just stay determined and motivated!

  19. So I had my first cup of regular coffee. Well not even a cup.. half of cup coffee and the other half almond milk as creamer and Splenda. I was cold and wanted comfort... That was @ 8am this morning it is now 2:15 pm and I am still feeling super HYPER! My fingers are like typing a million words per minute I feel my heart racing and if it werent because I am stuck at work for another 3 hours I could probably run up and down a mountain a few times and again! LOL ! Has anyone experienced this? I didn't think I would be this sensitive to Coffee! OMG! I swear Im hyper lol! No more coffee for me unless I want to be Speedy Gonzalez for the day. Oh and it didnt upset my pouch in any way shape or form. Just the hyperness. I have also been drinking a little more Water then I would by this hour trying to flush out the caffeine but it almost feels like it went from my mouth to my blood streem! cause I feel it!!!
  20. Well... I went to the Gym for about 2 hours. Came home fed my family dinner includes a toddler and a 10 month old. Gave them baths and Im about to jump on my treadmill for about 30 min. Because I still feel so hyper and not sleepy at all! Usually by now im exhausted abd Can't wait to go to sleep. I wake up every morning by 5am and usually go to bed by 9ish. Its almost 8 and I feel like I can run a marathon. Did I mention I cleaned the kitchen in less then 20 min!!! Lol I feel like a crack head!
  21. Taking a 3 day trip to Las Vegas at the end of the month and will be about 2 months RNY post op. My doctor is providing me with a card stating I am a Bariatric patient so Im sure Ill be fine. I dont want to be stuck paying for a full price buffet or meal when I wont be able to eat a third of it! lol Does anyone have any suggestions? any restaurants that dont give you a hard time? or any experiences with Vegas and RNY anyone would want to share. We will be staying at the MonteCarlo

    OMG I am tearing up so bad just reading all these posts. Its amazing the changes you will come upon once you start losing weight. Surgery Nov26 50 pounds down and I am already seeing alot of the benefits! good luck to everyone and stay commited! it pays off!
  23. My sugery date was 11/26 so just a little over 3 weeks out and its been a week and a half and I am losing I actually gain a pound then lose it... Its so frustrating I am not seeing any movement, isn't too soon to be at a stand still. Im doing mostly liquids and introducing some soft foods daily little by little. I have at least 60g o Protein each day as a bare minimum and on good days Im doing about 80g. I am walking everyday 1 mile in 30 minutes which is sometimes hard but I push myself and I sweat and my heart rate goes up. What am I doing wrong
  24. Ok so I'm a little embarrased to post this question but OH MAN! I need some advise! I am about 3 weeks post up. Doing mostly liquids. 3-4 Protein shakes a day and Water. I will add an egg or some yogurt, Jello or pudding once a day and sometimes not at all. I just feel so full that I cant add anything else and I am so constipated. I only go about once a week. I feel so bloated and uncomfortable. Has anyone else experienced this? what have you done to fix it? could it be the shakes? I need some advice. I think this might be another thing holding me up on my weightloss as well.
