  1. I need to go jeans shopping...I was going to go today but I keep putting it off. I have no idea what size I am and despite feeling like I look pretty good after 50+ lbs gone...when I look in the mirror I still feel huge.
  2. Worm, you're doing great! Keep your head up...it's coming off
  3. Surgery date: 11/26/11 SW: 334 CW: 283 Total lost: 51
  4. Lol. My husband was in the mood for Mexican and I was in the mood not to go to the store lol. Preheat oven to 375 and spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. 6 turkey breakfast sausage links, chopped 2/3 of a large red pepper, chopped 1 medium yellow onion, chopped 1 poblano, oven roasted, skinned, deseeded and chopped 1/4 cup pico de gallo 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp garlic powder 10 medium eggs 1/4 cup fat free half n half 1 1/4 cup reduced fat sharp cheddar Salt and fresh pepper Heat a skillet over medium high heat and spray with cooking spray. Sauté sausage and spices til done. Add peppers, pico and onion. Sauté until soft. Layer in bottom of 9x13 pan. In a bowl beat eggs, half and half and salt and pepper. Pour over eggs and add 1 cup of cheese. Fold together. Bake for 25 minutes. Sprinkle the top with 1/4 cup cheese while cooling. I topped mine with a bit of spicy salsa, a couple pieces of avocado and a dollop of nonfat plain Greek yogurt. It was so good!
  5. It was fantastic. I love to cook and come up with bariatric friendly recipes.
  6. Ouch. Better take it easy Sky. I created this Mexican egg casserole for dinner. I'm so excited!
  7. But it's 37 lbs you wouldn't have been down otherwise! The stall will break...I just came out of a 2 week one. It sucked. I changed up my calories for a few days and it finally worked. Take care of yourself and don't hurt yourself worse.
  8. How are all the November folks doing? I've had a nasty cold and haven't been able to exercise for a few days. I miss it!
  9. My skin cleared up with all the water and healthy food. Now I get one near my period and that's it. I haven't had any sweating or body odor. I'm already on a ton of anxiety and depression medication so I'm guessing that's helped all the mood swings.
  10. I'm fine now pain meds don't work on me unless they are given IV (and even then it's just mild relief) so I had a spinal block and then my bladder wouldn't wake up lol. I also had some nerve pain but it didn't last too long. I'm down 51 lbs from 11/26. I feel great, and as a total added bonus my skin is perfect again!
  11. I would like to lose about 200. My surgery was 11/26. Surgery weight 334, today 283. I log everything I eat, I exercise everyday, and I make choices like taking the stairs or parking farther away...anything to keep my body in motion. I feel great, and I will get to my goal weight and be smokin'! Lol
  12. 1/2 cup of broccoli cheddar chicken chowder. Just snacked on some lunch meat and a pickle because I'm way short on protein and calories. Being sick takes away any desire to eat.
  13. I just took some Tylenol cold. I feel horrible too.
  14. Just so you know, stalls are going to happen as you get farther out too. I'm 2 months out and have been stalled for two weeks. But I also increased my exercise and I log everything I eat. I started my period yesterday and came down with a horrible cold last night. So I'm not weighing myself until my period is over and I feel better. Eventually the stall will break and you'll lose again. I'm down almost 50 lbs in 2 months...I've never done that before so no matter what I'm a success . You will get through this, and the weight will come off.
  15. Chicken marinated in Greek yogurt and spices, oven baked. Roasted green beans and mushrooms. Sautéed onions, garlic, red bell pepper, black beans and stewed tomatoes. Just a spoonful of each but it was tasty.
  16. I'm eating it right now. It's cold and snowy outside and this soup is delicious.
  17. It sounds like nerve pain to me, but if you're the least bit worried call your surgeons office. That's what they are there for.
  18. 1 head of broccoli, florets trimmed and stalk peeled and chopped 3 slices turkey bacon 1 large onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 tsp dried tarragon 6 cups low sodium fat free chicken broth 1 cup fat free half n half 1 Tb cornstarch made into a slurry with 1 Tb Water 6 oz shredded chicken 4 oz low fat sharp cheddar cheese, shredded Cook bacon in pan coated with cooking spray. Remove when crisp. Add onions and broccoli stems. Cook over medium heat until onions are translucent. Add garlic and tarragon, cook one minute. Add chicken broth. Bring to boil, reduce to simmer for 15 minutes. (At this point I purée the Soup because my daughter won't eat the broccoli stems, but you don't have to.). Add half n half and cornstarch slurry. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce to simmer and add chicken and broccoli florets. Cook 10-12 minutes until florets are tender and soup has thickened. Add cheese and reserved bacon. It's so good. I attached the mfp stats.
  19. Cheddar broccoli and chicken chowder. 142 calories per half cup with 18.2 grams of protein.
  20. Try using plain canned tomato sauce. I still use a little ketchup in mine though.
  21. Pain meds don't work on me at all. Neither did any of the anti-nausea meds plus I had to be re-catheterized three times. I tried to be cool about it but I was in so much discomfort. Still, the woman next to me was worse lol.
  22. Worm, do you have a Wii? If you do, look for Fit Six at GameStop (I paid 4 dollars). It has a ton of different workouts that you can combine to personalize. I'm addicted to kickboxing but it also has cardio, Pilates, cardio dance, Latin dance, core conditioning and weights. I know you said it's hard to find time to exercise, but none of the programs are more than 15 minutes so you can tailor them to the time you have. My goal is an hour but right now I do 35 minutes of kickboxing and about 10 of stretching which is built into the program. I'm still stalled but I feel so much better now that I've done this for a few days.
