Had surgery on Monday. Pain is finally starting to dial back but I had to be re-catheterized so I can't go home until tomorrow. I'm ready to be home. Am up walking as much as possible.

Surgery yesterday. Lots of pain, difficulty getting enough oxygen, still hooked up to pain pump. Might have to stay an extra day for pain management.

I am doing homework and working on sewing projects today, cleaning my bedroom, heading to a football party and to a movie with my best friend tomorrow, and getting a pedicure and a facial with my cousin after church on Sunday. Hoping to make the time fly by so Monday gets here quickly!

I have a major anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder. I take medication and see a therapist. I passed the psych test without a problem.

Lisa I hope you have a wonderful weekend and it isn't to stressful waiting for Monday. You are in my thoughts and prayers for a safe and uneventful surgery and quick recovery. Thanks Vicki . I'm excited but I need the time to work a week ahead in my classes (I'm a full time student) and finish my obsessive nesting. I am currently painting trim lol. I've already done the walls and ceilings and tomorrow I'm getting my sewing machine out and making curtains and throw pillows while everyone eats.

It took me 4 different masks to find the right one. I have the smallest nasal pillows out there and it's great. My pressure is only at a 6, but I sleep longer and better than ever before. I used to roll around but now I wake up in exactly the same position I fell asleep in. It freaks my husband out- he keeps poking me toads sure I'm alive lol. I can't wait to never need it again, but I'm glad I have it now.

My surgery is Nov. 26. I've been on the liquid diet since last Monday. I just got into a pair of jeans I haven't worn in months! It makes me so excited and ready for the rest of this journey.

Yeah today seems to be my freak out day! I have been so calm' date=' relaxed and excited. Today I think I will try to stay busy because I am just really worried about failing even with this. I am guessing I just need a "hug". HaJones and I will be walking the halls together so that is making me a little less nervous since I will be in the hospital with no hubby/friends/family staying with me. Lisa is my surgery buddy too Surgery at 935am 26 Nov. Not worried anything will happen just the unknown and failing ...I think.[/quote']You will be fine . You can use that energy to come clean my house lol...all I want to do is sleep. At least ive lost 12 lbs. I am going to finish painting trim and ceilings before surgery and work ahead a week in my classes. Those are my goals.

I've lost six after the first week of my 2 week liquid diet. But I am actually having trouble getting everything in (1 of the meals is a cup of sf pudding with Protein and another is a cup of sf Jello - I hate pudding and jello and I'm getting nauseous after a few bites). I'm losing interest in food and that's going to slow down my weight loss. Anybody familiar with this?

My surgeon said nothing like that. He said that the risk of complication is about 1.5% with the sleeve and 2-2.5% with the bypass. Also, the results are not the same. Typically more weight is lost with the bypass.

My surgery is Nov 26, gastric bypass. I started this restricted liquids on Monday. I have my nutrition meeting, history and physical and meet with the anesthesiologist tomorrow.
I drank a ton of Water and crystal light and went for a walk when my husband brought home KFC. I got through it without cheating so I'm proud of myself.

Hi, I'm a newbie but I look forward to getting to know everyone. My surgery date is Nov 26, and a I started a restricted liquid diet yesterday. So far I'm exhausted and have constant headaches. I have a thanksgiving party this weekend that's one of my favorite events of the year, but I may skip it. I'm also planning on renting a movie and hanging out in bed while everyone eats. Luckily in this case, I'm anosmic so the smells won't be torturing me.

My surgery date is November 26, so I will be on the liquid diet over my birthday and Thanksgiving. I plan on taking a long walk during Thanksgiving dinner, and I've asked my husband and children to Celebrate my birthday with a family game night instead of with food. I think avoiding temptation and always having Water on hand is a big help. I'm on day 1 today. I feel like crap, headaches and shaky, but I'm not really hungry at all. In fact, I feel like all I'm doing is eating/drinking sweet stuff.

Rough day with some buyer's remorse moments. I haven't felt even close to decent since the surgery. I am living on sugar free Popsicles and tiny sips of Water. The spoonful of yogurt I tried made me miserable. I managed a short walk around the block. I've only lost 6 lbs since surgery. Please tell me this gets better because I feel horrible.
