Please don't cut ties with your family. Family is forever.
Taking a break from them might help and hopefully appreciate your roll in the family.
Family can be the most toxic people in your life. I used to get that speech all the time when I first cut off my grandmother and then my father. My response has always been that my family is supposed to love me, support me, and treat me better than a stranger on the street. If they can't do that, then they are related by blood, but they aren't my family. I cut my dads mother off 7 years ago and my dad 3 years ago. Not only was it the best decision I ever made for my own emotional health, but I'm also protecting my children from their toxicity. Not everyone's family is worth the effort.

Lisa I did the lemon pepper seasonings with veggie
Tartar sauce. Who would've thought. I also sauteed brussel sprouts with garlic and crushed red pepper.
What did you think?

Lol. So true!
You guys crack me up. Sorry, I was crazy busy at work today and just saw this. If you're grilling the tilapia, try doing a creole seasoning and a lemon garlic remoulade. Or you could do a lemon pepper seasoning and make a veggie tartar sauce. Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, pepper, grated carrot, chopped cucumber, red pepper and a little bit of pickle.
I did tilapia tonight too. Seasoned with salt and pepper. Topped with a tablespoon of garlic aioli and a teaspoon of Parmesan, baked at 350 for about 12 minutes. Yum.

Tonight it's garlic Parmesan chicken. This same recipe is fantastic on tilapia. I layer a seasoned chicken breast on sliced onions. Top with a scant TB of my garlic aioli and sprinkle a tsp of lowfat Parmesan on top. Roast at 400 until chicken is done.
Garlic aioli
3/4 good quality lowfat mayo
3 cloves fresh garlic, grated
1 Tb fresh lemon juice
Lots of fresh pepper and a pinch of Kosher salt.
Mix together and let sit at least a half hour. Great on everything lol.
Also having green Beans sautéed with garlic and almonds. We love garlic.

I don't use bread crumbs in the patties...I toast almonds and then grind them and use those along with a little grated Parmesan.
I made up a cup of dried white Beans earlier. Going to sauté garlic and onion' date=' add basil, oregano and thyme, 2 ripe tomatoes, the beans and a couple big handfuls of baby spinach and then add in a bit of parm and pepper.[/quote']
Here's what it looks like.

I was a doubter' date=' didn't think I'd use it but use it on a daily basis. I have pre measured bags of nuts or granola I grab to take to work but I do use it with meals some too.

I measure almost all my meats on it to make sure I'm getting the right serving size. It helps me learn to visualize what 4 oz of chicken really looks like.

Since surgery 4 weeks ago I've had very low heart rate and blood pressure. Lots of dizzy spells. Anyone else experience this? Not only did I experience this, I passed out twice in one day. The second time I nearly drowned. The first time I broke my foot, sprained my back and sprained both knees. I'm still on crutches. I'm drinking more Water, using more salt and taking midodrine to keep my blood pressure steady. Please don't wait to get hurt like I did. Talk to your doc ASAP about coming up with a treatment plan. I had warning signs for weeks (and I've had very low blood pressure my entire life) and I got hurt badly because I ignored them.
What ya eating tonight?

Individual chicken Parmesan meatloaves with sautéed garlicky asparagus. One meatloaf is 141 calories and so filling.
