  1. Good luck Kelly right now I am starting out on jevity 1.5 50 ml/ hr for 12 hours each night, I must admit it is very discouraging! Does your tube still hurt? How long before you got used to it ? Does it get any easier? How much weight have you lost total if you don't mind me asking? I am scared to death that this will make me gain

  2. I am 3 months post rny and I am having to have a deeding tube out in this morning. Not because I am losing to fast but because I can keep anything down and can't quit vomiting long enough to get my body out of starvation and ketosis. My surgeon says its only temporary 2-6 weeks and that after a few weeks of tube feedings my body will be out if starvation and I will be able to keep food down by mouth and can have the tube removed. Anyone else had this problem or know someone who has?

  3. Yikes! I am flunking that part. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />. I eat 3 healthy meals and a snack (usually a Greek yogurt) plus I add Protein powder and milk to my coffee and I am not close to 800. I ave. 500-600 on good days. Before fitness pal record keeping I was probably only eating 300-350 cals! I knew that was probably why I was stalling! Can't believe I functioned on that!! I thought I was eating good too!

Everyone's Dr is different' date=' but I have asked about calorie intake and also Protein intake and of course they are more concerned about protein. But do not have a goal set for me. They strive for 3 balanced meals. Need a veggie/fruit, starch, and protein at every meal. Eating protein 1st. Of course early postop its hard to even eat 400 cals! Or at least it was for me! My dietitians big "no no" was getting in the habit of snacking. I can have a yogurt or milk with added protein (yogurt counts as a liquid according to my dietitian) but not another actual food.

Seems like I should be eating more. But physically can't!

Hopefully in another month or 2 I will be able to add a little more calories to my diet..[/quote']

I am flunking that part too then my weight loss has slowed down too I have been stuck this week hmm I feel so fill though

  4. I and 3 weeks post op started at 260 I've lost 25 pounds down to 235 I can have a lot of different foods now but I am so scared of eating and stretching my pouch or eating food and gaining or not losing. I know I can't drink Protein Shakes only forever. I guess I am afraid of "losing control" with food. Can anyone help me out with this. What is normal weight loss at this point, I am paranoid that I will fail

  5. Wow' date=' that's fast to go back to clinicals! I scheduled my surgery for the first week of Christmas break so I have 4 weeks to recover before I go back to 12hrs/day clinicals. You're a trooper for sure! I hope the pain lets up for you soon. Good luck with your studies! Are finals soon for you? Mine is Wednesday with pre-op being the very next day.[/quote']

No I had finals the week before. We go on 11 week terms instead of semesters. I think I may have overdone it I've been hurting pretty bad yesterday and today: (
