My gastric bypass story has come to an end. Yesterday I met with my surgeon and after a long discussion he thought it was best that I don't have any type of WLS. I started my road at 319 and the last 5 months I have been working hard and have lost 42lbs already so he thinks I have what it needs already to do this with out the tool of WLS. I have learned a lot here reading post and comments from this site and I thank you all. This site got me hooked on MFP and thats my new drive to getting this done. I wish you all luck I have seen great things come from WLS so do your research its a big decision glad you all found this site it can really help a person. Im on MFP as walleyebob977 if you want to look me up, its my new addiction send me a message there if you want to ask anything. BOB

I feel the program and the diet nuts have helped a lot. Maybe to much now that I'm working out 6 days a week and have been counting my calories and tracking them on MFP And with Good success. I feel I can keep this going, but I have came so far in the rny processes I have spent tons of money and time traveling for it. But wondering if I should put my self through the surgery now I got Till June to decided I guess I'll have a long talk with the surgeon Tuesday

I can tell you to keep your hopes up. My wife had Pcos and we tried for 4 years to have a kid. Lots of doc appointments and we tried almost everything, 9 months she had gastric bypass and in nov she got pregnant she is now 10 weeks. It can happen we thought it never would just keep your hopes up things happen for a reason.

I tried adding you to my friends list on my fitness pal but for some reason I can't just add names. Mine is walleyebob977 if you want to add me. Good luck your not alone.

Just wondering if you add friends on fitness pal can you see what the eat? Just curious. Just need some ideas what people eat after surgery. I haven't had surgery yet but started using the app. I have mine set at 1800 calories hoping that's low enough to lose some weight in the next 5 months. Plus I try and burn some calories each day on the hamster wheel. If anyone would like to add me my name is walleyebob977

No fee here but had to sign a piece of paper stating that I would stick with there program after surgery. Like labs and stuff. Wife's bill to the hospital was 49,000 bucks glad we had insurance, but to charge a program fee that seems crazy. Cause most people still have to pay there detectable.

It's going to be a crazy couple months. Im sure I can get through it all. If I don't do it now, who knows when. Still have 5 months to get everything in order, right?

Well I'm half way through the process, hoping to have surgery in may or June. The wife had RNY a year ago and is doing awesome really awesome. She had Pcos and we have tried for years to have a baby and now that she has had Rny and has lost a lot if weight, she is now pregnant which is awesome so excited!!! But wondering if I should post pone my surgery cause my surgery date should be in June and the kid due date is August. I just want to make sure I'm good to go and all healed up for when the kid comes. Think a month to a month and half is enough time in between ?

I'm still 5 months out from having surgery but I started using whey Protein and have noticed that there is a difference in the brands been doing some research but still haven't pin pointed it down. It's something to do with the lactose and different things they add. It causes serious stomach problems for me too. Hoping to get this figured out by time I have surgery any input on this would be great
