Oh no Mizzlaw! First of all, BREATH! Let me start by saying unsupportive husband = asshole!! Sorry but that's the truth. So now that we know your own you own, let's take a step back and reassess. I had my surgery whilst going through a divorce, thankfully my soon to be x husband is still my BFF!! As of right now, how are you? How is your pain level? Did you get some gas-x or gas relief at all?? Please feel free to PM me for a private conversation. You will get through this....just go slow and take one baby step at a time. Please message me and I'll help on any way I can. Ok. It's ok, you can do this, there is nothing wrong with reaching out to others, this was a new experience for every one of us. It's totally ok to feel out of sorts.

I slept in my recliner first 2 weeks post-op. just keep trying, eventually you'll be able to relax you AB muscles in order to sleep in your favorite position. Good luck.

Only? I'm also 5 weeks post op and have lost 19 lbs. everyone looses differently. Take it slow. Set small goals and relax.

I totally hear you cmarie! I find myself thinking..."oh no, did I eat enough today"? Today I had 6 oz of yogurt, 3 oz. at a time, and them about 3 oz of carving board turkey and cheese (which for some reason I threw-up). Now I'm sitting in bed having SF/Skim hot cocoa and it'll be cold long before I finish it, I'm thinking about my day and realize there is no way I'm eating or drinking enough. I have to try and up te intake of both, but seriously I am so NOT hungry at all...food does NOT appeal to me at all, in fact thinking about eating makes me nauseous. I so hope this passes. Anyone? I'm 5 weeks post op and have lost, started at 228.8 am now 209.5 progress, but I feel like crap! Again, I hope this is a stage and it passes.... Kerrie-Ann

Hey Stardusted, I felt the same way. I'm now almost 5 weeks post op and my pain finally went away about 2 days ago. Of course, I'm not typical for the length, but just trying to give you an idea. Slow and steady girl, take your time!

OMGOSH! He is so cute! I just love dogs, mine literally is a huge part of my life ... I initially got him to keep me sane. Literally as a companion. My husbands job has him traveling 7-9 months out of a year, I had to leave my job when he got his dream job about 6 years ago...I've been home and going nuts ever since. Everyone thinks I have the greatest life, beautiful home, pool great yard. Lots of free time...blah blah blah....! It would be great if I didnt go to college for 10 years, decided to marry the Navy move all over creation, quit any and all jobs I've held to move to the next duty station....ugh it's never ending. I'm sorry to vent, but being a stay at home Mom has its pro's and it's con's. It's just not for me. And sadly I've been trying to get a job for over a year and because I've been out of my field for so long nobody wants to hire me. Again sorry for venting. =[

Wow, I thought he/she was a St. Bernard. Mine is a Boxer, he turned 4 in April. He's so sweet and given that he's not been walked very much in the last month, he's hanging at about 97 lbs. Before surgery and before 100 degree temps he was walked 3 miles a day. Poor guy...I end up getting in the car with him and just driving around so he won't look so depressed. How big is your pup supposed to get?

I'm originally from Foxboro Mass, moved all over the place with my soon to be X husband, who is retired military...ended up in Florida. Wish I could move home...but as much of a cheating A hole he is, he's a great Dad and we have 2 amazing boys that deserve to be near their Dad. I miss Fall and Snow! Not shoveling it, just to look at.

Ugh, where did this come from? All of a sudden I have major restless legs...like they burn and tingle I'd I don't move them. What causes this? No pain at all just a "ahhhh I have to move my legs" suddenly kind of urge. Weird?

The only reason I do the protein shakes is because I really don't think I can actually physically eat enough food in one day to meet my suggested protein needs.

Further, my incisions are all healed and look great! I don't have any problem at all taking the pain meds, in fact there are times when I've no choice to take them around the clock. Ive had a lot of surgeries, including 2 c-sections, a tummy tuck and breast lift...plus the lap band placement and laparoscopic gallbladder removal. This is a different pain, sharp and like a hot knife is being stuck into my middle/left. It went away last Friday, I was relieved when I got out of bed that it was gone, but them this morning, only 3 days later, it's back and just as bad. Oh well, I'm sure it will subside as the person above said (sorry forgot name), but I'm seeing my surgeon in 2 days. Thank you for you kind replys and words of help and support...very appreciated.
