  9. APPROVED!! I was denied at first because I had 6 months with a nutritionist and not a physician but my doctor urged me to do an appeal with 8 months worth of paperwork with him and it was approved this morning. Now I'm scared and second guessing myself. Am I doing the right thing? Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

  12. If you had to do the 6 month requirement did you just had weigh in with your PCM? I did 7 month with a nutritionist and they denied me so I have to go back and do 6 month with a physician. Please tell me who you saw for the 6 month process. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

  15. Does anyone have any ideas on things I can do to keep busy for the next 6 months? I'm starting my first of 6 weigh in next week. I thought about making a list or recipes book of things to eat after surgery and to be more active on the forum.... that's all I got? Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

  18. Yesterday my paperwork was submitted to my insurance and I got word that they want me to complete 6 month of supervised weight loss. We submitted 7 months of me seeing a nutritionist/ dietician along with monthly weigh in and food logs. So now I have to do 6 more months because a doctor didn't do my weigh in.   20. I'll start with a little info about me. I'm 29 and a mother to 4 girls. My husband is in the military so we have been traveling a lot so it's hard to make friends who understands me when it comes to having surgery. I decided to have surgery to get healthy for me and my family. Last month my mother passed away from a heart attack/ heart disease which no one knew about. It was so sudden and became a wake up call for me..... So here I am going through the process to have surgery after years and years of trying to lose weight. I hope this will be a place for great support though out my journey.
