Hello everyone hope everyone is doing good here's my stats HW: 332lbs SW August 6 2013: 302lbs CW: 256lbs Feeling a lil discouraged tho because it's coming off so slow! Plus I compare myself to everyone else lol I know an older woman who had her surgery 2 weeks before me and she's dwn 110lbs since surgery I'm like OMG I wish I was down that much already lol but I know I'm not supposed to compare myself to anyone cause everyone is different.. But still can't help it... Were all human lol I'm still happy with my progress. Went from a very right 24/loose 26 to now an 18/20 and they're a little lose so I am happy for this . How's everyone doing?

Don't be discouraged. 5 lbs is still great. I saw my surgeon a couple weeks back, and he told me to make sure I'm getting enough calories in my body, and drinking enough fluid. He also said that there are some people that don't lose any weight at first then they come back 3 months later and lost 40+ lbs! He told me I need to get in at least 1200 calories but I also had the DUODENAL SWITCH not the gastric bypass. Are you exercising? I'd call your surgeon. Make sure you're getting in 800 to 1000 calories. Don't eat more in one meal but eat more meals over the day. So if you eat 3 times a day try to eat 5 or 6times a day. Anyways hope this helps some. I was very discouraged when I saw my surgeon cause my weight loss I thought was bad but we all have stalls. I had lost 20lbs in the first 2 weeks after surgery. It took 6 weeks before I broke that stall and lost more. Anyways don't be discouraged just keep motivated and all will work itself out hope this helps some

Hope everyone is ok. I am almost 8 weeks post op omg it's crazy to think I'm this far out. I have my dr apt on the 4th and can't wait. Although I've hit a stall... On August 6 my surgery day I weighed 302lbs on my 2 wk apt I was at 286 as of today I am 272lbs. That's only 14lbs in 6weeks in kinda dissappointed but I'm also kinda happy cause it's weight I will never see again. I carried my niece up my stairs she weighs 19lbs and i cannot believe I carried that much extra on my body before!! Now all my stays as of today are when I started my journey in August 2012 I weight 332lbs! When I got my first weight in with dr at my 2 week pre op tests I weighed 312lbs, and as of today I weigh 272lbs! I'm so happy total loss is 60lbs! Gone forever and since surgery 8 weeks ago I weighed 302lbs and that's a total of 30lbs. awesome! How is everyone else progress.

I'm getting so discouraged. I had surgery on August 6 on that say I weighed 302 And as of today I'm 6 weeks post op I weigh 274 I've been at a stall and it's driving me crazy seeing you's who had surgery later in the month already lost more weight than I have ahhhh what am I doing wrong other than exercise I know I need to exercise more and get in more protein but it's sooo hard especially since I have no energy, I get dizzy so easily and get black and white spots Infront of my face feeling like I'm in a tunnel when I get up off my couch it takes up to a couple mins to stop... Idk what to do feel like I'm at a loss and I have noone to talk to... Driving me crazy ... Anyone else who feels like they're at a loss lol I need people to vent with hahaha

So I had my surgery on August 6 on that day I weighed 302 lbs as of today 5 weeks later (or is it 6... Hmmm ) I weigh 276... Weight loss kinda slow but not getting my protein in like I should... But on a positive note for a NSV I started in a size 24/26 and today I put on a pair of 20s and they fit perfect! I put a 22 on the other day but wanted to see if I could fit in to any smaller sizes and a size 20 fit great! Anyone else with any NSV!

All of my pain was gone by 2 1/2 weeks post op. but was minimal at almost 2 weeks post op. I am now about 4 1/2 weeks post op and feeling like I can do cart wheels lol I can't do them yet but feel good enough to do them!
  12. Just curious how many people have tried alcohol soon after their surgery? I am nearly 4 weeks post op and just curious if anyone has tried alcohol this soon out? I haven't and my surgeon didn't really say much about it they just said that only drink occasionally (socially) and don't let it become a habit? Would it be bad to try a drink so soon after surgery? (Like tequila on the rocks? Or whiskey on the rocks?) if I took it slow and only had one? I'm going to a bday party tonite and just want to have a drink?... Plz no judgments just curious if it's a bad idea or not? Thanks

What are these drinks? Where can I find them. Sugar free is great and getting an extra 5grams of protein would be good I'm not sure exactly but thinking I may only be getting in like 30g of protein a day... Dr wants me to have 100g a day!!! Ahhh that's like crazy talk!

That definitely sounds close. I was 302 on day of surgery and this morning was 280... Feel like I'm losing too slow lol I need to get more protein in, I am eating fish Beans cottage cheese and those all have protein but definitely not enough for what I need... I've been trying to stomach protein powders but they all make me sick. And I've already had a few episodes of puking my guts out

    Alcohol & post op...

My dr told me not to make a habit out of it but a drink or two is ok, I'm staying here at my friends and I definitely would drink slow and little bit maybe a shot amount at most? Ill try this and there will be people here. Thanks.

Hey everyone I had my surgery on August 6 on fhay day I weighed 302lbs when I started my journey in August of 2012 I weighed 332lbs as of today (I'm almost 4weeks out...) I weigh 283 I'm dissappointed because on my 2 weeks post op I weighed 286lbs that's only 3 lbs loss in almost 2 weeks!!!! I really need motivation I need to start exercising and getting my protein in! I don't think I'm getting enough that's why I'm at a stall... That's only 19lbs loss in 1 month. So total loss so far of 49lbs..... But only 19lbs of that was post op... I'm dissappointed because I feel like I could do better than that... I was hoping for a loss of 30lbs this first month... But I can live with 19lbs what I'm really dissappointed of is the 3 lbs loss in 12days was hoping I'd lose more.... How do you get all your protein in!!

My dr suggests the 20:10:10 rule... At least 20grams of protein Less than 10grams of sugar Less than 10grans of fat..... Hope this helps
