  1. High weight-289 Surgery weight-262 Current weight-168.6 Surgery date-4/26/12
  2. Welcome. I can give you encouraging words. You can DO this! Can you talk to your old surgery group? Do the 5 day pouch test? Go back to pure liquids for two weeks then switch to Protein and veggies? What are you willing to do?

Quiche works well for me. I also make a crustless one.
  4. I can't imagine sitting in a chair for 8 hours a day a week after surgery. It was all I could do to sit up after 4 weeks for all day. The pain was not minimal and the fatigue was huge.
  5. Its pretty good. Dessert like.
  6. Don't lose heart...but do keep up with your protein, water, calories...and reduced carbs!! We can do this!, I feel like I am not losing any weight at all...but when I look at the big picture, I am 120 Lbs down so far.
  7. Its my understanding that the body processes honey differently. If I remember correctly there is 6mg of sugar in it...
  8. Black can be blood in the stool. Call your doc.
  9. Strictures sux...I had to get one fixed twice. Can you drink? Try hot decaf tea with a teaspoon of honey. (If you are super sugar sensitive it might make you dump) but honey does not affect me. It is an antibacterial, an antiinflamitory, (sp) and actually a third world treatment for gasteroenteritis....
  10. Also...what is your water intake? When I don't get enough my body retains it.
  11. Actually try increasing your calories. Just by 100. It often breaks a stale. And 800 should be your minimum.
  12. Kiser, How are you doing calorie, Protein, and carb wise? And exercise....I find that I have to drop carbs, and increase exercise to break from a stall. I let my body stall for a few weeks as long as I am not gaining, as this is the time I lose inches and drop clothing sizes.
  13. Welcome! We all have made the same decision for many different reasons. It is life changing. Lots of good people here.
  14. Kmh- you really need to watch your diet. Too early for popcorn, carbs are a nono... Can you talk to your nut? Long term you need to let your pouch heal. Popcorn is ofren not recommended for the first year.
  15. Where did you have your surgery? Some carbs are actually necessary...supposedly they help brain function. The key is a balance. Fruits and veggies help to provide this.
  16. Welcome. Jump in anytime! The more the merrier...
  17. Maybe a trip to er is called for?
