  1. I would love to hear more on this. Because it does seem like something every one deals with. and i wonder why.' date='

You have lost 83 pounds, seems like your mind should let your eyes see what a difference that is. Why doesn't it? Good question.

    Great Job by the way[/quote']

Thanks ladies for the response! Yeah It drives me crazy because I know that I have to be getting smaller. Like mami said when you get a smaller clothing size it feels great! I just hate looking at myself in the mirror cuz I seriously see myself the same as when I was 330! I'm trying to be patient and positive but it's just to the point where I'm getting depressed about it.. Which is no bueno lol.

  2. So I know it takes around a year for your mind to catch up with your body's changes but it's so frustrating! I'm really hard on myself and I'm trying not to be but I get so down in the dumps when I look at myself in the mirror! Everyone says they see such a change but I can't! Anyone else have any ideas for pushing past this? What do you do to remind yourself that you are changing?

  3. My nurse said: she doesn't believe people my age should have surgery because we are too young and still have too many life changes to go through and more "social risks" she called it... So we have a higher risk of failing. I just looked at her and said well thanks for believing in me! I switched nurses after that lol. my doctor told me too that they are considering not doing surgeries on people my age anymore in their program. I think it's dumb! So I should live the life I was living with high blood pressure and whatever else and if I live to be 40 then I can come back? I don't agree with them but oh well I got my surgery and so far I'm proving them that people my age can be successful!

  4. I am back in the hospital too and praying to get out of hete today. Yesterday nothing would go down and ended up vomitting everything. Was at the er for 8 hours!! Then admitted. I wanted to run out of there so bad. My anxiety has been out of control. No meds given and waiting to be discharged now after a night of zero sleep' date=' zero food or Water, 4 bags of Fluid, and none of my meds. . Finally they cleared me for fluids again! Cant wait to leave since everything is okay now. If.only the doc would show up and release me!![/quote']

Hope everything's ok and you get out soon!!!!

  5. I felt the same. Our hormones are just all out of wack from the huge change put bodies are going through. I talked to my doctor and she gave me something for anxiety and it has helped soooo much! Don't be afraid to talk to you doc cuz a lot of us go through this! The sooner you seek help the sooner you will start feeling better. My prayers are with you!

  6. Thank You all for your prayers and concern! A little update: I'm doing better. I don't have pain from the ulcer or anything and it stopped bleeding. My hemoglobin is still a little low, 9.6, but it's up from last week when it was at 9. I am a little anemic and feel slightly nauseous and dizzy from, but I'm good enough to carry on my normal activities! Thank you all again for your support!

  7. I had ulcer before the surgery from taking medication. This will be a minor setback. And then you will be on your way. They will probably make you take Prilosec 2x a day now.

Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Yes! :) along with carafate.. I dunno why they had me stop taking it in the first place but oh well. Like you all said its a minor set back and thank you all for your support! You guys keep my spirit up!

  8. Thanks DL :) I'll stick to what they tell me which is add protine powder to everything! Lol I'm doin carafate in the am, then my acid meds, then having cream of wheat in the am with skin milk and protine powder, then a protine shake, then Soup with added protine powder, then another shake, and then something soft like soup for dinner with protine powder added. I'll be doing this for 6 weeks :/ as long as I get better it's whatever!

  9. Yep! That was me too.....My doctor just now took me off Carafate' date=' but told me if I have the same symptoms as before, to get right back on it! Soft foods were my best friend after mine found my ulcer!

    my superpower is......[/quote']

What symptoms did you have? I had none besides tarry stool! Which is a big symptom lol but I didn't have the stomach pain to go with ir
