I know its going to be hard (i have just begun the process, have 2 more months of nutrition classes before i get a date) but i am excited for those moments when i can do something like cross my legs, fit in a booth, walk with out being in pain. This is such a great forum, so much information and support. good luck, looking forward to seeing you on the losers side
  11. Thats great!! good luck, i hope that everything goes smoothly
  12. Im with you on that, i am ready to have the surgery and start my new life but at the same time I am glad i have time to get educated about this and be really ready for when that day is here. chat with you soon...
  13. Good luck and hope you feel better soon. i hear that alot, that when they go in they find a hernia to repair, did you know before surgery?
  14. Hi Butterfly66, i had my consult on 7/9 and was told my insurance would cover the Psych consult. Not all insurances do, they said mine happen to cover it. hope yours is covered too. had my psych eval on 7/18 and you have to do a written test, True/False (240 questions), then meet with the Psychologist, she asked alot of questions and and was trying to dig deep to why i am over weight, at the end she said she recommends that i see a therapist to discuss and find out what triggers me to eat so much, but she said it is not required that i go, but she will ask that i provide her with a letter before they set my surgery date that i will be meeting with a therapist. someone in my support group said they dont follow up with that. either way, not a bad thing to know what is causing these triggers other then being hungry. Good luck and welcome !
