  1. My surgeon's office is strict about not sending a packet off for insurance until it is complete. I totally understand as it would waste a lot of time back and forth...I was submitted last week and called today to check the status...apparently, I'm on hold because the insurance company had to call to request medical records... really?! I sent three years' worth to the physician's office...and now the hold up is something you have but didn't send?! UGH
  2. Put it on YouTube and post the link
  3. I too have Blue Cross...they told me today they needed old medical records...btw, I sent them to my surgeon's office. The customer service rep was super nice...she said she had bariatric surgery in February and reassured me that bcbs is quick to approve surgery bc they understand it's better in the long run! Fingers still crossed!!!
  4. Oh I sure will!! I'm actually trying to keep myself busy as I called my insurance and they said it's in review as we speak and your doctor's office should get a fax by the end of the day!! I'm praying for surgery with Dr. Pirrello @ Southeast Bariatrics. His office is in Matthews.
  5. Lol Girl, I've had two kids!! I'm not interested in lookin at it, I would sure love to see it!!
  6. Thanks Jordan. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I'm looking for alternatives as everyone says to add coffee...maybe I should start! Lol I would love to get a sample of those two! GNC only had choc and van
  7. Maybe try fasting for a day or a day and a half? There's always an enema :-0
  8. I take 5000 mg of biotin now, but there's also a shampoo people talk about...Fall out? Something like that...anyone know?
  9. Hey neighbors!! I'm in Charlotte, but lived in Kernersville (or K-Vegas as a lot of young people called it!) several years ago!! I love a pig pickin! I'm pre-op now and plan to have some Sonny's one last time before surgery!
  10. Truth, we are in the same boat...we CAN do this!!
  11. Woooo hooooo!!!
  12. Oh you deserve a thousand gold stars!!! Everything on that plate looks scrumptious and the diet dr pepper...you deserve MORE than a thousand gold stars!!
  13. Oh I looove pinterest for women's fashion...they even add earrings, purses, and shoes so you're not just looking at a cute item, you're seeing a finished look!!
  14. Oooh good question!! I want to wear a belt!!! Not an elastic back, about to bust off and kill somebody belt, but a cute, small, brown leather belt with khaki shorts and a white top!! I want to wear something and think it's delicate rather than wearing something with wide straps!!
  15. Thanks y'all! I don't think the lifting will be a big deal, but I'm in carpool 4 times a day, so not driving will make me bananas
  16. Congratulations on 8 lbs down!!! I sure would like to say I'm 8 down from my highest. I was 306 or 307 initial consult and 311 last Monday. I said to someone else, I'm addicted to the Women's Fashion on Pinterest!!
  17. I'm speaking just for me, but I empathize completely with you feeling like you're in the old cycle. I would want a firm date for me to be responsive with a 20 lb loss! That's a lot. Good luck!! My surgeon just requires that I be under my initial consultation weight. Right now I'm about 4 lbs above it, so I'm trying to get at least 10 off! I need a good buffer in case my scale is different from theirs. I would be devastated to have my surgery delayed over 10 lbs.
  18. Someone said their surgeon allowed pickles. I thought it was strange, but they're nutritionally void except for sodium. Maybe check with your surgeon? I would recommend the Sonic ice.
  19. I, too, started my vitamins. I wanted to see how I was able to tolerate them before...
  20. Congratulations!! How exciting!! Do you have a surgery date yet? There is an October thread.
