  1. Great job David, so thorough and well thought out, with your great sense of humor sprinkled in there to keep it from getting overwhelming!
  2. I met someone this week who showed me the protien powder she uses and it is a completely plant based protien powder. I will try to get the name of it for you if you want.
  3. Congrats! Sounds like you are on your way to a new you!
  4. Don't know if this thread really is for me since Im pre op. But just so I get in the habit of posting. Lol...consult date 7/12/12 -266lbs Today- 258lbs

  6. Great question....I would like to know too
  7. I live in Gainesville where Shands @ University of Florida is located. They have a wonderful staff and is usually where most high risk Moms end up. Let me know if you are interested in names of specific Drs.
  8. Im in FL, do you know where you are moving to? I had a high risk pregnancy with both my girls. I can certainly point you in the right direction
  9. Getting out in the sunshine helps with Vitamin D, they say low Vita D contributes to depression. I had to take 15,000 iu a day for 6mths. My #s returned to normal and I haven't taken anymore since. I also had extremely low B12, so I also had to give myself B12 shots every week. It will become routine, and who knows may help with your depression...
  10. OMG! That is AWESOME!!!! Any tips for us.....I think I will do a back flip if I loose 40lbs in 4 weeks!
  11. Knowing that if I stop going they WILL deny me. But if I keep going there is a very good possibility they will approve me. If I stopped I would be giving uo on myself. If they deny, I'm a fighter....I will appeal.
  12. Awesome! Can't wait to be there myself!
  13. Per my surgeon, I have to see the Nutritionist twice b4 surgery, once prior to submitting for approval, once prior to surgery. After that I am required to see the Nutritionist 6x / year post op. Fortunately, its only $40/visit.
  14. Well, I passed psych, radiologist said upper GI looked great, EKG was normal....got labs, sure those are fine as i just had labs in April that were ok. Now I have to patiently wait a week til the Nutrition Eval, & Pulmonary Eval next Thurs.
  15. That is so awesome & encouraging to hear!
  16. Whooooo hooooo congrats!!!
  17. Hang in there! You will feel better soon
  18. Im not 100% sure about their reason for upper GI. But my surgeon requires it for all pts. I believe bc they want to make sure there aren't any hernia, or other problems that could complicate surgery.
  19. Well I go to head out to my eval and my car had been broken into. Many things stolen. But I went ahead to my appt bc the property is material things and this eval dictates my future. So off I went. Fortunately I only had answer a 20 question sheet on depression. She asked me,a bunch if "trick" questions and said I scored in the Superior range of intelligence (whatever that means) so she didnt feel the need to "waste our time" with the other test. So it went well.....she said she would have the report faxed within 24hrs. So now i can check that off my list....tomorrow is labs, EKG, & upper GI
