  1. So now im starting to regret having this surgery... I hate feeling sick 24/7 :'( All I want to do is cry.
  2. So today I realized that I can't take the nausea anymore and called my doctor complaining how bad it is for me. He wants me to eat and drink but I just can't because of the nausea. So he gave in and called in a prescription to my pharmacy. However he only gave me 12 pill . I just pray they work!
  3. OMG, this is my story!!! I really just drinking because the smell of just about everything makes me nauseous. Today is the first day of drinking without any pain and i think it's because of the sippy cup i use. I can't wait until it get better. The pain was very uncomfortable after eat or drinking something.
  4. Omg, thanks everyone....i thought it was just me this happen too.
  5. Surgery date - 10/1/2012 Today I am actually feeling the best I've felt since before the surgery. However I am not able to drink liquid Protein shakes, Jello and broth. Luckly my NP has approved for me try yogurt, cottage cheese, and split pea Soup. Yogurt and soup is good how im still scared to try the cottage cheese. Total lost since surgery is 8 pounds. My last weigh-in was on Monday.
  6. Me too but that's just because I can't keep liquid Protein down anymore, I hate broth (chicken), and I can't stand Jello. By the way, tomorrow is 7 day out.
  7. So happy your surgery went well!
  8. Hey, I am having the same exact problem. Tomorrow will be exactly 1 week and I can't keep down any liquid protein (I have a few flavors and brands that I bought and liked pre-surgery), I now hate jello (ewww) and I can't stand chicken broth anymore. I've been drinking water, some with cystal light packages and sugar free Popsicles. I am praying that at my post-op appointment tomorrow my doctor will find a reasonable solution to this, because these protein drinks are now working out for me :'(
  9. Hey so happy to hear from you.... Congrats and take it easy on yourself.
  10. Congrats to everyone who had surgery this past week. Soon it will be time to start and tread in post op for all us October people
  11. I'm sleep comfortable when sleeping on my side with pillows. The drain is normal. Some doctors use it and others don't. Its just another way to make sure I don't have any leakage.
  12. My surgery was on Monday and my cycle started yesterday as scheduled (I keep track with an app). So far mine has been pretty normal to possibly a little lighter then normal. Normally my first 2-3 days are really heavy. Check with your doctor!
  13. Meggiepoo, I've been feeling the same exact way... I didn't think about the heating pad, but I will get one when I go back out. I still have my JD drain in which is driving me crazy! Can't wait until its removed on Monday.
  14. To see the pic you have to go to my profile and click on gallery. Just click on my pic and it should take you to my profile. Pain is not so bad now, but I'm still taking pain meds when i feel pain coming on. YES, i find it very hard to get my liquids in. I couldn't drink 16oz of liquids while in the hospital so to double that is harder. But I've been telling myself to sip sip sip.
  15. In the hospital I was on morphine and I could only press the button every 20 mins which felt like hours when in pain. The first day was the hardest. I couldn't even think. To this second all I can remember is pain all day Monday. Now I'm on Oxycodone which has help alot since being home.
  16. I've added a picture of my incisions in my photo gallery if anyone is interested. I will take some more this evening..
  17. Hey Everyone, So I am NOW HOME from the hospital!!! So happy to be back home. My goal (doctor's request) is to drink 32oz of liquids a day. OMG, not easy. I've been sipping since i got home. I've also taking some pain meds because i did a lot of walking today (from hospital bed to car right outside the hospital). According to my doctors that's a lot . Right now i'm in the bed relaxing and sipping. If anyone have any question, please let me know. W We are all in this together!!!!!
  18. Hi everyone, So I am still alive, however still in ALOT OF PAIN....i cried in recovery because of the pain but now, not so bad. Okay, now I'm off to a nap and the try and walk. Will keep you posted as soon as I can. Thanks

  20. Good morning everyone, So I am on my way to the hospital with my father and roommate. I am sooo freaking sleepy but also extremely excited. Just went down my check list and I think I have everything .
  21. I've been drinking "Oh Yeah!" powered Protein with soy or almond milk. My doctor told me to drink 1200 calories however that has been impossible for me to do. I've also been eating sugar free Jello.
  22. I just want to have to worry about anything for at least the next 2 weeks. I've also paid all my bills.
  23. Hey, are you all ready for Monday? What time do you have to be at the hospital? I have to be there by 6am and surgery starts at 7:30am.
  24. OMG..... 2 more days!!!! I've cleaned my whole house, washed my hair and washed all my clothes. Now i just need to pack and do nails . I am sooooo EXCITED, i am not even nervous any more. Just getting to get this going!
