  1. This was recommended by my hematologist...so you know it's good stuff http://www.cvs.com/shop/product-detail/Buy-One-Get-One-Free-CVS-Iron-65-Mg-Tablets?skuId=317150 Very small pills, no aftertaste, no nasty side effects.
  2. Congrats!!! Such a great decision
  3. Well, just got results from pill cam...no Crohn's disease and NORMAL GI tract....looks like I'm DEF on for 1/15! Woooo!!!! This makes this whole process so worth it.
  4. Hang in there. After day 5 and 6, it gets a little easier. I hate the shakes too...ugh.
  5. Good luck to everyone having surgery this week!
  6. I'm on day 6 if the liquid diet. It seemed near impossible days 1-4, but day 5 and 6 seem to be better and less stomach growling. It sucks though...I had to avoid going to a family party today. I just can't allow myself to be in situations where I might be triggered to cheat. It's not worth it. It does suck though seeing everyone eat around you. I think at this stage, I would literally KILL for a cheeseburger! Lol
  7. Best thing you can do for the gas is walk, walk, walk! When my sister had her surgery, she told me the walking was the only way she could relieve that feeling!
  8. Good luck on the start of your liquid diet!!! You got this!!
  9. Good luck to everyone with upcoming dates. I hope for a fast recovery for each of you
  10. Thank you. I will keep you updated asap!!!
  11. Ok guys...since I feel so comfortable in this thread with you all...I just wanted to (continue) to vent. I need some good thoughts passed my way! Yesterday I had a pill cam endoscopy to view my small intestines. I had a colonscopy...and the biopsy came back negative for Crohn's, but with the pill cam, they are still checking to see if I have Crohn's. My surgeon said he will not do the bypass on January 15th if it's Crohn's, but he feels confident that it's not. I'm still scared though. I get my results Monday or some time mid-week the latest. Worst case if it was Crohn's, I'd have to resubmit to insurance everything and do the sleeve (which my insurance doesn't cover, but we could try). So not only is it HARD doing the liquid diet, but it's also HARDER knowing it could all be for nothing if they do find Crohn's. I will keep all updated. So surgery is a go for 1/15, but if it's Crohn's...it's off. PLEASE keep me in your prayers. I don't think it's that...but there's a small chance it could be. Anyway, I'm day 5 on liquid diet and just trying to hang in there. I'll let you guys know of the results as soon as I know. Fingers crossed, please.
  12. Oh thank god someone has mentioned this. By "shadoobs" I assume you mean "the runs". hahaha. Not to be all TMI, but since starting this liquid diet, I have been gassy and back and forth to the bathroom. I thought I was the only one. It's driving me crazy. I think my body is slowly getting used to the shakes, but geez, they don't warn you! LOL
  13. My email on fb is jenniferc328@aol.com and name on fb is Jenn Margaret. Feel free to add me
  14. Anyone of you guys on facebook? I'd love to watch some of your progress and connect Seeing shrinking pictures is so motivational. Only issue is MOST people on my fb don't know I'm getting the surgery, but we can talk in comments and stuff
  15. Good luck!!! So excited for you. One4ozzie (Gen) already left some great suggestions for you. Another recommendation is Propel Zero. It comes in a variety of flavors...no cals, no sugar, and it's delicious during this liquid diet lol. Another recommendation is lots and lots of herbal tea (decaf). Make sure to get some chewable Multivitamins and calcium with Vitamin D and some pepcid to keep your stomach ok if you're allowed to take it (my surgeon recommended it for me).
  16. That's good to know nothing feels different on the inside. I'm always afraid I'm going to literally FEEL the physical re-routing of my intestines and the smaller stomach. Lol. Maybe I watch too many movies.
  17. I am on day 4...10 days left. It's very tough...I won't lie. Lol
  18. Hi! You can add me on fb.... Jenn Margaret is the name and email is jenniferc328@aol.com
